Oh please as if Angelina Jolie would ever even consider working alongside a underrated actor like Rob. I agree with truthbtold. I say Rob must have like 5 male fans if any. As far as I can see hes a joke to men everywhere. I doubt thats going to change anytime soon.

Based on a previous comment of yours regarding Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, I’d say your opinion on his acting abilities is biased and I can’t take it seriously. It is not completely ridiculous to think that someone like Angelina Jolie would work with Robert Pattinson. Other OUTSTANDING celebrities have worked with him and have said that it was a pleasure to do so. Why would Angelina be any different? Your opinion is your opinion; however, I can’t help but to think that the reason you think he’s “a joke to men everywhere” isn’t strictly because of his acting abilities.

And, by the way, yes, you’re right. He is UNDERrated. Hopefully, that’ll change in the future.

Truthbtold, I agree with you about how Robert has potential. He does have a lot of work to do, but I think he’s heading in a good direction as far as his movie role choices. I think he’s trying to get out of that whole “teen heart throb” title that he’s been slapped with and so far I think his movie choices following Twilight is going to do it. I really can’t wait to see Bel Ami and Water for Elephants. I think his acting is better depending on what type of movie it is. In my opinion he did good in Remember me, but the movie itself wasn’t that great. However, in Little Ashes, I really do think he did well in that one. In the few movies he has done, to me, that’s the best one.

In response to the article, I think it would be amazing to have Angelina and Robert working with one another. I honestly don’t know what to expect from the possibility, though. If the information does turn into being accurate and I hear more of what the movie is about, then I’d probably get a better picture of it in my head.

Last time i checked Rob was busy this summer shooting for Water For Elephants with two Oscar winners Christoph Waltz & Reese Witherspoon. What are you talking about?
as for ‘male fans’ well, Leo,Johhny Depp, Brad Pitt etc They all had the same problem and look where they are now.

I have to defend Lainey she was reporting rumors and then joking about the war between the “Loons” and the Twihards that could ensue (see comments above) if the reports were true. She also noted that AJ has script approval of all of her movies and doesn’t sign on until the script is completed the actual role sounds perfect for her though . In the abstract I say why not. Robert is already working with Reese Withersppon and Christopher Waltz and they are both Oscar winners. I don’t think Robert has proved himself as an actor yet but he seems serious and we can wait and see sadly for every Johnny Depp and Leo Dicaprio there are dozens of teen sensations that have been long forgotten.

@Satine I am a huge Angelina fan too. Kristen is the young equivalent of her to me. They both have that non conformist, almost masculinity that makes them somewhat androgynous. If they teamed up, I would explode.]]
I’d rather see Rob work with Brad Pitt, particularly in a good Fincher film. It would be good for him to do a movie with a known male movie star that men respect.

Remember Me was just not my cup of tea. I will say that a lot of critics didn’t even give it a chance once they found out RP was playing the part. That is unfair anyway you look at it. Someone above mentioned Leonard. He was Oscar nominated and had impressed several top people before he became the heartthrob. Johnny Depp’s association with both Hunter Thompson and Tim Burton set his career on fire. It helped him gain male fans that didn’t like him because they thought he was too good looking. Brad’s work in Seven and 12 Monkey’s introduced him to a male audience. I really do see potential in Rob and he has my respect because of his relationship with Kristen Stewart. It takes a strong man that is secure in himself to date a woman like her. The potential is there and now he needs the right role. There are a couple of scripts floating around Hollywood that I think he would be right for. I hope he reads his offerings carefully and doesn’t just take the next romantic lead. He could end up being a great actor.

@klue Both Angelina and Kristen can be very girly. They like clothes and makeup like every. Kristen is badass as seen in The Runaways. She does remind me of Angie and a lot of people in Angie’s fan communities have made this association. That’s just my opinion. I use the term masculine because neither Angelina or Kristen conform to the traditional standards of the stereotypical woman. Salt was written for a man, but Angelina played the part well. The director of Wanted 2 has expressed interest in casting Kristen as an assassin. That is why Kristen is my favorite young actress and Angelina is my favorite middle aged actress.

As for Rob, I stand by what I have said. I actually like his British accent, so I hope he does do a movie where he can use his real voice. Someone also told me he sings, and there are some music biopics coming up. As I always say, the potential is there. It’s all about it coming together. People compare Robert to Orlando Bloom but Bloom was never all that talented. He was cast for his looks. Rob may actually have talent.

@MissZee I may check Rob’s music out. All young male actors are compared to Brando and Dean. No one will ever be that so in my opinion it’s stupid. I remember seeing something where he was compared to Bloom and Efron so they came to mind.

@klue Angelina is a pilot, has professional gun and knife training, and rides motorcycles. Those are all typically masculine things. Kristen plays electric guitar, golfs, and drives a big truck. That’s what I mean by their androgyny. Both of them also have a lot of straight women and men in love with them.
