I think the last few weeks have proven him right. I’ve never seen so many people so eager to trash a young woman they don’t even know.I believe most of this can be attributed to tabloid journalism. I have to disagree with him somewhat. People do read tabloids for escapism and entertainment. He’s biased because he is often the one they are writing about. Does it make them stupid? Not necessarily, but if that’s the only thing you read, then yeah. Gossip has been around since forever. It’s human nature to gossip about friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. Is it right? No, it’s not, but it doesn’t stop people from gossiping. It is weird when you become the subject. It happened to me once at my job. A coworker took something she overheard and made up a complete fabrication. It finally got back to me and it was unbelievable how she made up lies about me. So I do kind of know a tiny bit of what it could be like, but of course not at the scale that Rob endures worldwide. People think it’s harmless to read gossip about the celebs. I think some enjoy to see the rich and famous fall from grace because it makes their lives not seem so bad. I think the web has made gossip junkies with so many sites accessible to feed their addiction.

I agree with you, and furthermore I don’t think they ever broke up in the first place. They looked in their past interviews like they had a strong friendship besides love. You don’t give that up the first time somebody screws up, assuming this was the first. Who knows, though. He knows her intimately. If there is an explainable reason why she cheated, he will know it. And as he’s shown himself to be a rational, intelligent human being (at the very least) this week,one would have to believe that he knows what he’s doing, and he’s certainly not going to care what the public thinks either way.

Stewart had been in a relationship with her “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson and fans of the series were devastated by the cheating revelation.

While news of her indiscretion might have been a legitimate one-day story for the Hollywood press when it first happened, it certainly doesn’t fit the bill as a “matter of public concern,” that deserves extensive coverage.

Not only is the media’s continued replay of Stewart’s mistake making it almost impossible for her to make up for what she’s done, it is probably placing additional stress on Sander’s marriage and continuing to embarrass his wife.

It is also making it harder for Stewart’s boyfriend to take her back without feeling the continued sting of humiliation—if deep inside he’d like to give her a second chance.

In addition to being presumptively portrayed as a ruthless home-wrecker who targeted her male prey, the extensive reporting has been completely imbalanced because it places all of the blame on Stewart and none on Sanders.

Even Stewart has expressed surprise that Sanders has been essentially given what amounts to a hall pass by the media. Reports surfaced Thursday that Stewart has told people privately that she’s upset the media isn’t at least pointing out that Sanders was “in a position of power over her,” since he was her director, and presumably someone she could work for again.

Tabloid persecution does more than just destroy personal relationships and break the spirits of their victims. Look, we’re all entitled to our opinions. I will not think Rob is a bad person if he never talks to Kristen again. However, I will believe he didn’t love her as much as everyone thought.

I agree, there is more to the story. The pictures don’t tell the whole story because they don’t show you the lies that were told to Liberty and Rob, they don’t show you the words that were spoken to arrange and to explain the absences to loved ones who trusted them, they don’t show the people slipping out from their respective homes, to go and cheat.

Did their loved ones say goodbye? Was their a 5 year old or a 7 year old that hugged daddy just before he left? No pictures don’t tell you the whole story, the whole story is a lot worse.

The pictures are graphic, they show what they show and that isn’t a lie but they can never begin to represent the emotional betrayal and if you have ever been in love and been hurt, it’s the emotional betrayal that cuts deep.

I kinda think this is Rob’s way of addressing this whole Kristen thing. He thinks it is rediculous, and people shouldn’t believe everything they read. She sold her relationship with Rob by showing his photo to that Elle reporter, by blabbing about her “English boyfriend,” and then in another interview going on and on about how it was “so obvious.”

She invited the public into her private life, and don’t even get me started on how she habitually wore his clothing when she traisped through airports, knowing the paps would be there. She liked playing those kinds of games, that’s the kind of twisted person she is. I can’t believe Rob put up with her BS for this long.

She obviously never respected his wishes, and finally exposed how little she respected him at all. And then she cheats in broad daylight on a public road, and issues a public apology. People are not going to stop talking about this, so if it upsets you, don’t read it.

The photos of them at the fence looked more like a photo shoot to me. If they were dressed better I would swear it was. They do not look passionate to me at all, not at the fence or in the car. He never said cheating was a deal breaker for him, he said he never understood why people cheat and how they managed to keep up with two relationships. He went on to state that his mother and father met when his mom was 17 and his father was 25 and they’ve always been together and that’s what he wants for himself. I’m wondering if his parents have opened up to him about any struggles they may have had in their relationship over the years to help him get through this. My parents were the same age when they got married and they were married over 40 years before my father died and they had one hell of a ride. I learned a lot from the mistakes they made over the years and a lot of times me and my siblings never knew about it until we were going through something similar. Never has he said that he wouldn’t take someone back who cheated. I know that when I was younger I always stated that I would never stay with someone who cheated but now that I am older, I can’t say the same thing. You never know what you would do until it happens to you. I can’t honestly see myself throwing away my 16 year relationship over a kiss.

You should be a comedian. KStew has never had anything to be jealous of. She’s so ugly on the inside, I wouldn’t want anything she had. I wouldn’t want my daughters to be like that, either.

I just wanna say one thing which seems weird to me,the bear picture that was published a couple of days ago, I’m not saying it’s new but it’s weird that Hollywood life and other stupid tabloids didn’t react to that at all, it seems like the media is trying to convince us that they are not together because then it’s a bigger scandal

People see the stories from the media and make judgements based on those. The fact that 99% of the stories are fake/exaggerated doesn’t seem to occur to them.

If you’re not in the fandom then you’ll believe what you see.
Before this scandal: Whenever I saw a R&K article, I knew it was crap because I knew the real story and could see how the media had twisted it. Whenever I saw an article about some other celebrity, I just accepted it and moved on. I never questioned what I read because I DIDN’T know the truth behind those stories because I DIDN’T follow those celebrities. (I didn’t go around hating because of what I read though. Why would I care?)
After this scandal: Now that this is a big deal with serious consequences, I think about those other celebrities. When I read articles about other celebrities I notice the “sources” used, the writing style and other clues that tell me that the stories could be made up too. So I believe none of it now.

So you don’t realise these things until you’re a loyal fan of someone. For years, I’ve followed R&K and have seen hundreds of false rumours about them that I know are 100% false because I’ve already seen the real news beforehand. I still get mad but understand now that the general public will believe everything they read about this scandal because of the things I’ve spoken about above. It’s not their fault but it sucks.

So take it from someone who knows: All of these articles are lies. Sources don’t exist. Experts don’t know crap. Reporters don’t know what R&K are actually thinking. We have a set of pictures that are without real context (besides a glorified story from the photographer) and two apologies. The media has taken it upon themselves to make up the rest.

Nonstens make up 95% of the “Rob manwhore” rumours. They’ll do anything to make people believe he was never with Kristen. (And decide they’ll insult him by doing so?!?!) Crazy Krisbians do exist (very few) but they don’t compare to the Nonstens.

This is another conspiracy theory started almost as the pictures and scandal broke. Then there was the Rupert Liberty set up of Kristen, then Rob was thrown in as one of the conspirators. There are new theories trying to cover the fact that Kristen of her own free will was with Rupert. Fans even tried to hide the magazines on the racks –what the thought process was there is hard to fathom. She did the deed- her fans need to accept it and move on- and let her move on.

Let it go- Kristen and Rupert were together and we have pictures. Their tryst on the street was not their only time. They had an ongoing affair that paps were tipped off about and then they hit it big and got pictures. Rob and Liberty are the victims here. Please stop making it out that Rob was able to use Kristen’s cheating to promote his film–You are not only blaming the victim you’re saying that he now used their cheating to promote his professional life. Your theory is beyond disgusting.

Tabloids have been printing lies and trash for years. This situation is in no way unique. I have never purchased or necessarily believed what they have printed unless there is absolute proof.

Blogs are in my opinion, worse, as they print the lies as if they are facts and others spread the lies. Mr. Pattinson is not the first person to be a target. He got caught up in something not of his own making. This story is tackier than most because of the photos so it is not based on friends of sources of someone’s third cousin or a made up conversation that supposedly place in someone’s home. Tabloids are trash, so are blogs and other sources of lies, but he is not the first and sure won’t be the last to be a victim.

Wish what you ask for could happen, but folks love ugly more than they love truth–other big stars get on with their lives after being lied about for years. They should too. It will take more for ms stewart as there is photographic evidence, but something else will come along soon enough.

I think they will get over this. I have no inside info, just intuition. There was real love shown on the balcony at Cannes. And Kristen’s body position when she poses with him is much more intimate now. Look at premiers for NM compared to BD part 1. And again at Cannes. When K has been asked recently if she and Rob are together, she says it’s so obvious by now, and they don’t hide it when they’re interviewed together, it’s always noted that she is curled up beside him and are much more relaxed. But I don’t blame them one bit for wanting to keep their relationship to themselves. It’s one of the few things that is truly only theirs.

There is no ethics in these magazines these days. I don’t believe there are any “sources” whatsoever. They aren’t journalists. They are not reporting news, there are no standards and practices that they must follow. Nobody gets fired, they just agree to say “sorry!” And the sources they actually do have, get paid. So they’ll say anything to keep the money rolling in.

The tabloid media persecution of Stewart will undoubtedly leave it’s mark on the young star as the tabs have done so many times to other public figures in the past.

Tabloid persecution does more than just destroy personal relationships and break the spirits of their victims. In the end, it leaves the humiliated victim with a feeling of powerlessness despite whatever stardom they have achieved. It diminishes their legitimate talents and positive accomplishments to nothing while emphasizing a single mistake a person has made throughout their life.

With the upcoming release of “Breaking Dawn 2,” the long anticipated final chapter of the ‘Twilight’ series, there is little chance that the media will let Stewart and Pattinson work this problem out on their own.

Under the First Amendment, Kristen Stewart’s love life may be fair game, but there’s something else reporters should consider when they toy with the life of a human being, and that is compassion and fair play. The continued coverage of this story may actually be changing the outcome of these people’s lives and making it worse when there could be a chance for all of them to move past this incident.

The “She’s only …” argument only works so long and at 22 it’s getting ridiculous. She has an attitude problem. She’s entitled, arrogant and lacks any kind of humility or modesty. I guess that’s the result for being pampered since a young age and never having to struggle with anything.

This! This is the best comment I’ve read on here so far. The only thing we do know is there were pictures taken. Period. We know nothing after that. None of it is verified. Also, a picture is worth a thousand words, but we do not own the script. The nature of the pictures is not told yet. When people take what is given them and just consume it, believing and moving on that is a loss of mental aptitude. People laugh and say “Conspiracy Theories are bogus” but really now……while some things are very black and white, not all are. There is enough discrepancy with the pictures themselves and the story that was given to date about them to send red flags up to anyone paying attention. Please realize too, that the media, any media “primes” it’s readers. They give a line or two before a comment made by whom they are interviewing to sway the context of the words. Politically, this has been done way before your grammy was alive. Pay attention to what you hear from the people involved in this only. Not what you read in any magazine. Only what you “hear” from the people involved. When people open their eyes and focus on ALL that is around them, stepping outside the box and looking back in, then they can gather the pieces needed to complete the puzzle. THEN and only THEN will those people SEE what is truth. Our society today is so desensitized to what is really going on around us that we’ve become gullible. In this haze of gullibility, we lash out at those portrayed as bad guys, when in fact, that may not be the case at all. Stop taking everything fed you at face value and DIG deeper for yourselves. I do a number of blogs if you want to call that media. The only publicity person I would recommend for his is Tamira Thayne of dogsdeservebetter.com She is a master at it. Do check her out. Her latest move was to purchase Michael Vick’s old kennels where he kept the fighting pit bulls and convert it to a rescue home for released chained dogs. This is her mission. Unchain them , bring them into your home and love them. If you can’t, give them to someone who can. A few years ago she started a national chaining event where all over the US (so far) people chain themselves for 24 hours in a public place with little food and water and live the life of a chained dog for all to see its misery. Her goal is to get legislation in all states to limit the amount of time legally, that a dog can be chained in 24 hours. She had made headway. and this past year she got married while chained to a doghouse on the steps of the Harrisburg Capitol building to bring about this legislation in Pennsylvania one of the two puppy mill capitals of the US, the other being MO where I live. There’s more so check her out. If I were Rob and Kristen I would wear her T shirts and be ecstatic whenever the papz came so that she would get more publicity and more money. Wow, you sure want your pound of flesh. You haven’t taken into account of what kind of upbringing she had. Growing up on sound stages is not the usual childhood. Both of her parents working in different places and then she finally finds some kind of semblance in acting.
Have you seen both of her parents at any of the special functions together or especially when they did the handprints. Where was the rest of her family? Just her dad was there. I find that not having a solid family foundation.
She gets bullied when she was younger and we all know what that can do to a kid.
She’s had 2 real boyfriends, because she was working child actor. Not a lot of experience in that department. So it would be easy for some scumball to influence a young woman to do something stupid.

Now she’s getting bullied again and again by all of the people who don’t like her, in the rag magazines, on tv entertainment shows, all calling her names and saying that dear Robert should dump her.
I wish everyone would just leave them alone and let them sort things out on their own. Kristen is so close in age to my daughter and I wouldn’t want her to go through what Kristen has had to endure this last month.
