I personally think that they are talking it over and taking it one day at a time. He can’t just shut his feelings off, but he can choose to build on them and take life as it is handed…making him stronger. Or move on and rebuild his character, which is sometimes much tougher to do then to forgive and forget. Especially when you sense of self is tied up for so long with one person.

You couldn’t have seen the interview then. He only laughed because Jon said it in a gay type of voice, like something a couple of gay guys talk about. Rob even asked if that was his normal voice right after, while laughing a bit. Rob avoided saying any comment that could be taken anyway for or against Kristen. He did little talking, but lots of subject changing or ignored the comments totally that had to do with Kristen. Watch the interview before you comment. I really thought they had broken up, but after seeing the interview, I’m not so sure.

Normally I don’t spend much time reading gossip about celebrities, just skimming articles when they pop up on my AOL or Yahoo accounts. This Rob and Kristen thing has been inescapable though. It’s everywhere every day. So I started reading the articles. Unbelievable!! I have never seen so many conflicting accounts of what is happening in this whole situation (and I was around for Watergate and the Clinton/Lewinsky debacle).

I’ve also never seen such hate spewed at two individuals who have done nothing but be fallible human beings. I don’t know if she cheated or she didn’t. You don’t know if she cheated or she didn’t. I don’t know if they are still together or if they have split up. You don’t know if they are still together or if they have split up. I don’t know if the whole thing is some big joke or a social experiment and neither does anyone else except the two people involved (although I have to admit I would get a huge kick out of it if it were).

Everyone that has been so hateful should take a minute and think of the worst thing they have ever done and then imagine that it was published in every media outlet the world over for everyone and their brother to read and judge you about. I wonder how many people could live with the reality of their hugest mistake laid out for the world to see.

My thought is that K’s people did buy a lot of photos, US Mag wanted the notoriety of what has turned out to be a HUGE scoop so they would not sell them all. I have wondered after seeing all 50 pics why, to my eyes , they did not publish the most damning of those photos. Compromise? Just my thoughts…

Yeah, she was pretty bad as interviewers go; and when I say “bad” I don’t just mean “unprofessional”. She was just a terrible interviewer. Her method of asking questions about Pattinson’s personal life, under the guise of “friendly concern” made me literally roll my eyes. If I had been the publicist in the room, I would have thoroughly enjoyed smacking her down and telling her to get on with talking about the movie.

But she was far more tolerable than the ass on the floor of the Stock Exchange who shouted, “Hey, Rob, got anything to say about the cheating scandal?” Both Cronenberg and Pattinson just gave the guy a blank look and proceeded to ignore him. Then, remarkably, the crowd on the floor started upbraiding the idiot.

What you have to remember about today’s “journalism” is that reporters aren’t always after an answer to their question. A lot of the time they’re after a REACTION to the question, which is why some of them will cross the line and ask anyway. They want to rattle the cage, so to speak.

You do know that The Daily Show is comedy (satire)? I wouldn’t take any of his comments and/or actions as depicting the truth as to what happened. He was poking fun at all the hype and controversy. It doesn’t mean anything – it was meant to be funny – which it was. Please watch it again and you will see that Rob NEVER comments on any of JS’s comments. He just laughs along with him.

I agree, zelly64. Pattinson had prior commitments for Cosmopolis. He was probably banging his head, exasperated by the timing of it all. This scandal was not planned, y’all are crazy to think that. Rob P. Looked good because his people helped him get prepared for meeting the public. However, the sadness in his eyes spoke volumes. Think back to other appearances, he always looked relaxed, happy and made jokes. This.time,.when he had a break from the mike or was off to the side, his face was serious and sad.
