Robert Pattinson “Beautiful” With Shaved Head, Says ‘Childhood Of A Leader’ Director Brady Corbet
Robert Pattinson debuted a drastic new haircut last November in which the back of his head was entirely shaved, except for a landing strip. The actor’s hair has since grown back to it’s usual tussled self, but in a new interview with Pattinson’s Childhood of a Leader director Brady Corbet, the filmmaker says the handsome star is “beautiful to look at” even with a shaved head.
As Gossip Cop reported, Pattinson stars in the upcoming WWI drama The Childhood of a Leader, which focuses on the rise of fascism in the 20th Century, and tells the story of a young boy who grows up to become an evil dictator. Corbet, a character actor, makes his directorial debut with the film. As Gossip Cop previously also noted, last month he won Best Director at the Venice Film Festival, where the movie won Best Debut.
In a new interview with Written By Magazine, Corbet praised Pattinson’s acting abilities, saying, “The thing that’s great about Robert is that the less he does… you can’t take your eyes off the guy! Because he is genuinely beautiful to look at, it’s really like he draws you in, in a classic way. He is compelling.” When the interviewer joked, “Even with the shaved head?” Corbet emphatically replied, “Yeah!”
The director went on to thank Pattinson, saying, “the only way to get the film made was to have Rob involved.” Corbet added, “We originally hired Rob because we wanted somebody really charismatic and really recognizable.”
The Childhood of a Leader doesn’t currently have a release date, but the film is expected to hit theaters sometime next year. Tell Gossip Cop what you think of Corbet’s kind words about Pattinson.
