Robert Pattinson Replaced By Kit Harrington In Brimstone Movie
Robert Pattinson is out of Brimstone, and Kit Harrington is in.
On Wednesday, it was announced that Harrington had joined the cast of the Martin Koolhoven thriller in the role Pattinson had been slated to play. As Gossip Cop reported, Pattinson’s casting as an outlaw was confirmed in February. The project was to be a reunion for the actor and The Rover co-star Guy Pearce.
Now production is already underway with Pearce and Dakota Fanning, but Harrington is now taking over Pattinson’s part. It’s now turned into a reunion Harrington, who will be working with fellow “Games of Thrones” star Carice van Houten. And Pattinson is not the only casting change, as Fanning’s role was originally held by his Maps to the Stars colleague Mia Wasikowska.
No reason has been given for the dual switches. That said, the official Brimstone Twitter account highlighted a number of news stories about the cast changes. It was also promoted on the film’s Facebook page and official website.
Pattinson, of course, is not hurting for other movies. Both Life and Queen of the Desert are to be released later this year, and he will be working on The Lost City of Z and The Trap. Still, are you disappointed Pattinson won’t be in Brimstone?
