Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Did NOT Avoid Each Other On Red Carpet, Despite Report
The Twilight co-stars attended separate premieres of their respective new films at the NYFF last week, but according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, “the ex-lovers apparently made quite an effort to avoid each other on the red carpet.” Without a single source to back up its claim, the site makes the ridiculous assertion that Pattinson’s fiancee, FKA Twigs, “might have given her future husband strict orders to stay away from Kristen.”
The repeatedly discredited outlet goes on to purport that the singer “was feeling absolutely worried about seeing Robert bump into or possibly even hang out with his ex-girlfriend,” because she supposedly believes Stewart “can’t be trusted.” The webloid adds, “FKA Twigs has every reason to be suspicious of Kristen, and that’s why she probably ordered Robert to stay as far away from her as possible.”
But what the unreliable webloid fails to mention is that Pattinson and Stewart attended the NYFF on completely different days. The actor was on hand Saturday for the premiere of The Lost City of Z, while the actress attended the premiere of Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk on Friday. Quite simply, Pattinson and Stewart were never at the same event at the same time, and this idea that the exes were trying to “avoid” each other is ridiculous.
Unfortunately, CDL has a poor track record when it comes to accurately reporting about the former couple, so we’re not surprised by this tall tale. Gossip Cop previously busted the webloid’s claim Pattinson was being urged to reunite with Stewart. And shortly before that piece of fiction, we called out the publication for wrongly reporting Stewart refuses to work with Pattinson again. This latest report involving the pair, who broke up long ago and have both moved on, is equally bogus.
