Robert Pattinson Not Considering New ‘Twilight’ Movies, Despite Report
Robert Pattinson is not considering or “eager” to do new Twilight movies, despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this total fabrication. We’re told it’s 100 percent “not true” and “BS.”
According to the fiction factory known as HollywoodLife, “If Robert Pattinson gets his way, we might be in for some more Twilight films.” The often disproven site falsely alleges that “the one thing that could stand in their way” is Kristen Stewart. A seemingly manufactured “source” is quoted on the webloid as claiming Pattinson wants to do more Twilight films in an effort to “re-spark his career,” while Stewart has no interest because she supposedly feels she has “graduated onto other opportunities that are more her right now.” The same questionable “source” purportedly adds, “If they pull up the Brinks truck to both of them they would highly consider it, because… money talks.”
You know what doesn’t talk to HollywoodLies? Real Pattinson and Stewart sources. Gossip Cop has been repeatedly assured over the years by actual insiders that no one from their camps comment on or feed stories to that discredited site. Remember, it’s the same outlet we busted when it made up stories about Pattinson dating Riley Keough and also when it concocted a story that Stewart secretly reunited with Rupert Sanders. Both those stories and many more published by that outlet have been provably shown as lies.
Basically, HollywoodLies took a comment Lionsgate co-chairman Patrick Wachsberger recently made in which he said future Twilight film were “a possibility,” adding that if “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer “wants to tell a story related to those characters, we’re here for her.” Wachsberger did not intend to say that there would be new Twilight sequels with Pattinson, Stewart or the other cast members. He simply alluded to Lionsgate owning the films’ rights, and if Meyer would one day write more books about Edward, Bella, Jacob and the others, his studio would be happy to turn them into films.
Pattinson and Stewart have grown older and professionally. Neither of them is angling to do another Twilight film at this juncture in their careers. Pattinson even noted in his Numero Homme cover story earlier this year that he wants to “diversify” his roles. And he certainly doesn’t need new Twilight movies to “re-spark his career,” considering he has The Lost City Of Z and several other films coming out in the next year. Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with our impeccable sources for both stars, and a Pattinson confidant exclusively assures us the HollywoodLife story is “not true,” while a Stewart informant also confirms the website’s article is total “BS.”
