There’s so much out there, who knows what’s really going on. I figure this: Either Rob and Kristen are really together and their contract keeps them from coming out about it, OR they really aren’t together and their “team” wants to make it look like they are. So…the PR is going strong…

I do think that Summit and Robsten’s PR do put out a lot of the stories out there about them but I don’t see them using Perez.

I’m cracking up again. Why isn’t he rumored to have an affair with Betty White? Giggle.

I’d like to start a rumor that I am secretly sexting Pattinson, or casting him in my transcendant dead husband’s biopic. If I did I could expect several things:
1.) I’d generate a ton of hits on my IMDB profile, web hits and other popularity rankings. Clickity clack.
2.) People would actually look at me and give a crap no matter how irrelevant or hungry for cash I am. Shake pom poms.
3.) It might lead to a job or a contract just for breathing his air molecules. Weird.
4.) I may win an award for being a hottie or something unrelated to my actual accomplishments or talent. Yikes.
5.) Wild lies are free, but seriously bankable PR. Cha ching!

The new California Stalkerazzi law went into effect January 2010. Hail Mary! I hope it’s enforceable. It seems like someone would have to hire a full time staff just to enforce it. Who knows? The Papzz penalty at 50K per infraction may end up paying for itself and generating a profit for any actor caught in the crosshairs. In a dream scenario, it may discourage the flash bullying. I’d like to see this one go to the Supreme Court soon. It will look something like “First Ammendment vs. Civil Rights: Reasonable expectation of privacy and freedom from reckless endangerment.”

Libel is harder. If a tabloid hack states it as an “opinion” and shows “good cause” in their “belief” that it’s “true” (the burden of proof is tough for the accuser to show bad intent and claim damages). Gossips can get away with all kinds of ridiculousness. Most people who are victimized by it, in this case Pattinson and any friends or family touched by it, would end up spending all their time combatting perverse rumors. The cheapest, best defense is to ignore it and laugh it off. If you fight the libel you just end up giving the story more legs usually.

It’s hella mean. These are real human beings – this affects friendships and families negatively. The tab press and stalkerazzi are really creepy. The audience hunger for this crud is just as bad. When will people learn they aren’t invited to all the parties, get a life and get over it?

Just think of it. You have a charming young actor who wants to entertain and do what he likes being held captive in hotels and various places. He is not allowed to have regular friendships and interactions without wild rumors churning – if he meets someone for lunch he’s having their baby. If he hugs a friend or laughs at their joke he’s “gay,” or “cheating” on his various other friends. If he has a bad day or scowls at blinding stalker flashbulbs he’s “mentally ill.” If he makes a wry joke he’s suddenly “deaf,” or offending someone somewhere. Give me a break! I can’t imagine how hard the scrutiny is on his true friends, potential romantic interest/ and family relations.

I do have to say that it’s really impressive how he handles it. I hope he, his friends and family know that the whole world isn’t crazy, most really appreciate his contributions and are entertained by him and his movies.

I like his friends too. He has stellar taste. Everyone who works with and knows this crowd has nothing but praise for them. Kristen Stewart is really unique and I’m stoked by her genuiness and brave unaffected personality. She makes me laugh and she’s incredibly stunning. She’s really supportive of her fellow actors, she’s changeable – has that face and a talent that can go a bazillion character directions (at age 20!). Her movies are swell. Young women are lucky to have her as a role model. Not a cookie cutter experience! Tom Sturridge was exemplary in Being Julia (haven’t seen his last one yet). Pattinson’s musician friends have turned out some really moving music. His family is really sweet, supportive and inspiring. Awesomeness attracts awesomeness.

I don’t care about the rest – except, I wish them all mucho happiness in spite of the unsavory un-awesome side of public life. I hope they aren’t hurt by it and take courage in being their genuine selves and feel satisfaction in their positive individual value. This rumor stuff is such negative energy and so ridiculous it’s plural: RIDICULI.

It may all be false….and it could be true too. Sometimes magazines get tipped off by someone and it is true. Sometimes they make shit up. Rob is a hot, sexy, gorgeous young man with women throwing themselves at him. He’s the first in a loooong time to come along with looks like he has….EVERYONE, young and old are all hot and bothered by him. I haven’t seen anything like this in like…forever! I can’t imagine him not tapping into that…he could have literally anyone he wanted. And this persona he puts off? How do we know he’s really this shy, sweet, innocent boy. He’s probably a wild beast in the bedroom. And probably gets it whenever and with whomever he wants. I’m not saying this rumor is true….but it could be. We don’t really know what’s going on behind closed doors now do we…..

How do we know that Rob doesn’t or hasn’t snuck out of his hotel room at night and visited with one of his “co stars”, or some other gal. We don’t know this. Don’t be so quick to say “Oh this is all so false……” We don’t know what the hell he’s doing!

You don’t care that Meester says not true.You know very well that Pattinson is since christmas working on BA in Europe and that the last time he was in NY for RM premiere he was there with family and friends and Kristen Stewart. And Kristen Stewart was joining him last week in Budapest, went with him to London.

Thank you Penelope, Alynn. I don’t know why people continue to bash Rob and Kristen despite the evidence. I don’t care one way or the other whether Robsten is real, but it seems to me that they are together. I love how Perez ignores the fact that Rob’s been in Europe for MONTHS. And the pics of Rob and Kris arriving in London…matching shoes, people!

I think everyone should question exactly who “Jasmine, et all” are. They just seem to be here to egg on the commenters. Perez Hilton doesn’t even give a timeline for this encounter. Is it a coincidence that he is wirting this lie at the moment pictures of Pattinson/Stewart leaving Budapest are coming out? No! Perez knows that Gossip Cop will slamm down his “report” within an hour, but he doesn’t even care. No consequences. But he knows that a lot of outlets all over internetworld will pick up the story within seconds without fact checking and the lie/rumour is planted.

1/2 a trailer, Pattinson still busy with his solo projects, Lautner on a Europe Lautner mission, Stewart on The Runaways / WTTR promo. What was the name of the other actors in the franchise? Can’t even remember them. Everyone is on solo performance. But wait in 2 month film will be released. Remember VMAS september 2009 2 month weeks before New Moon, everyone in Twilight fever?
So they are doing re-shoots, oh no pick ups.
It seems Summit has other priorities/problems than sent out Pattinson/Stewart on a we are/we are not mission.

And maybe some have noticed that the fact Stewart/Pattinson spent some time in Budapest was not a big news in the media anymore.

I just wanted to note on the “Rob is gay because he’s ‘allergic to vaginas,’ therefore, this rumor mill of women comes out as a het cover story” thing.

In some countries they have wit and humor that’s a little less literal or obvious to the slapstick USA variety. In those countries perhaps saying you have an “allergy to vaginas” implies you swell up when you are around them, but you don’t even have to say the crude punchline – it’s inferred.
