MAG: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Plan “Secret Wedding!”
The tabloid’s cover story claims “shocking” plans are in place for Pattinson and Stewart to get married after he gave in to “her surprise demands for commitment.”
“When they first dated, Kristen was standoffish — she didn’t want to get engaged or married,” a “friend” tells Life & Style. “Rob did. He felt like she was everything. She was his dream woman, but she wasn’t so sure.”
But now, the so-called “friend” explains, “An engagement and wedding would seal the deal between them and make Kristen very happy.”
According to the magazine, “The desperate actress is eager to show she’s deserving of [Pattinson’s] undying devotion” in the wake of her indiscretion with director Rupert Sanders.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if she looked at wedding dresses while in Paris” recently for Fashion Week, the “pal” tells Life & Style. “She would absolutely want to get engaged soon, maybe even elope this winter.”
As the tabloid explains it, “If marrying Robert is what it takes to win him back, she’s more than in. All Kristen wants is for Rob to look at her the way he used to just a few short months ago.”
To sell the story, Life & Style loads up on plenty of speculative details about her potential gown, wedding cake, flowers and diamond ring — most of which is just ripped off from her on-screen nuptials in the Twilight series.
And the tab is sure to give itself an out, including a sidebar in which Pattinson’s friends plead with him not to marry Stewart.
“Rob’s old friends are telling him not to go through with it,” explains the all-knowing “pal,” adding, “They feel Kristen’s calculated, immature and selfish… They think she has ulterior motives, like she just wants to get back together with Rob to save her career.”
In other words, Life & Style tries to get away with pimping a “Secret Wedding!” on its cover, and then fails to provide any evidence that an actual wedding — or even an engagement — is happening.
This is even more fascinating since just two weeks ago the SAME publication falsely claimed Stewart’s eagerness to reunite with Pattinson made him so “uncomfortable” and “embarrassed” that it “makes him feel sick,” even endangering upcoming Breaking Dawn promotional events with the two stars.
Now all of a sudden, they’re allegedly getting married?
Maybe Life & Style should take a few giant leaps back from its current sensationalistic streak, which is just plain embarrassing to watch.
As Gossip Cop has pointed out repeatedly, the tabloids swing wildly from one extreme to another with Pattinson and Stewart, favoring jaw-dropping headlines over actual reporting.
A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop that Stewart and Pattinson’s reconciliation process has included absolutely NO wedding planning or marriage ultimatums from either star.
