As someone who has been there, it is not easy, but it is doable. It depends on the circumstances and a lot of things we do not know about their relationship. Don’t be so quick to discredit what is and is not possible. I never saw them as E/B. Heck E did not hold anything against B for her kiss with Jacob. That is a fantasy. Reality is messy, but may not be as messy as everyone is guessing.

Two weeks ago they reported they met (this is because she was seen with him at a private residence), the following week it was reported they were hanging out (SoHo) and now that they are back together. The only PR in this is to slowly get you all up to speed on what has been happening behind the scenes since August so that you will not be so shocked when they are seen together. If later these same outlets say they broke up, we can believe that too, whether or not the actual parties admit to it themselves. In reality, whatever happens, none of these outlets really lose credibility, especially with a couple as private as these two, because we would not know the facts either way. These outlets can all say they did reconcile but pressure was just too much, and we can probably believe that too because really how can we know otherwise?

(I’m talking about the print version – online has been less responsible.) They only did the one full story that first week – after that it was a blurb about them both “hurting” and then nothing until Rob’s Cosmopolis tour. Throughout they’ve consistently focused on portraying Rob as an honorable guy while they also maintained a fairly respectful tone toward Kristen. There was none of the overly dramatic, cheezy editorializing that US included. PEOPLE’s take on the initial news of a reconciliation was noticebably more measured than other media, and their story a few weeks ago sounded very much like GC’s earlier reports that Rob was being “deliberately cautious.” Even on the matter of how Robs’ friends feel about the reconcilation PEOPLE took a much more low-key stance, saying only that “they are worried about him getting his heart-broken again” compared to US’s flat out declarations that “his friends can’t stand her.” They didn’t take extreme positions on anything and they didn’t flip flop from week to week on R/K.s future. When there was no news, they didn’;t make it up. Instead they’ve reported the story as you do when you have a direct connection with the side that holds all the cards specific to making the next move. And you take your cues from that side. I thibnk we can all agree that in this situation that wasn’t Kristen.
