MAC was not surprising, no. In fact, I’d be surprised if she didn’t eventually take it. MAC has always loved their ‘dangerous’ spokesmodels. Remember RuPaul? lol It could work. Opinion on her clothing choices is far from universally positive, but her makeup is almost always great and well admired. She can wear heavy makeup well which is semi rare. She doesn’t carry clothes well though. Not at all. And that’s the prob with the red carpet wear. Murad is old school ultra glam. Most people do not share details of private matters with many people, maybe a best friend and closest family would be it. Sharon and Liberty are hardly BFF’s. Doubt they know any details. It is more than possible that Liberty felt it going on during filming and maybe even when Rupert chose Kristen to do SWATH. A wife knows these things. This is a woman who games, who has blurry boundaries between real life and simulated reality. In every instance i’ve seen where Rob was said to have lied, it was obvious the interviewer just didn’t understand his sense of humor. If he hates tattoos, and he said he was getting one, shouldn’t we assume it was meant sarcastically? The story about the circus clown dying, on his first trip to the circus, which is often used an an example of Rob’s lying was obviously Rob telling the story from the point of view of his five-year-old-self—telling it as he believed it at the time, and expecting you to understand that. I’ve never seen him lie, I’ve just seen him overestimate the intelligence of American interviewers and audiences, who don’t seem to understand irony.

Homewrecker? Time to drop that term. Nobody’s home is wrecked, at this point. Rupert and Liberty are still married and are in councilling. We don’t know what Rupert told Kisten about his marriage. It’s traditional for the older man to tell the young woman he has cast his net for that his marriage is over in all but name. And Rupert would have had evidence. Liberty left him, in 2010, for another man–his business partner!!! She came back, but interviews she gave in 2011 show a marriage that is anything but happy. In any case, it’s Rupert’s home and he is responsible for it.

Gossip Cop said there were one and possibly two prior meetings, both just some making out–no sex. The timeline doesn’t realy allow for more than that. Before the pap hit paydirt, on the 17th, he had already been stalking her every day for a week, without discovering anything, so we can assume there was no other meeting, from the 10th to the 17th. The pics didn’t come out till the 24th, and during that week, Kristen wasn’t aware she had been stalked. Presumeably, the stalking continued: since the payoff the previous week had been so lucrative, the paps surely wouldn’t have wanted to miss the chance for another. No meeting was discovered that week.

So: one meeting, from the 10th to the 24th. That leaves only one week for any other meetings–the week of the 2nd to the 10th, since, before that, Ru was in Hawaii. Here, we get into speculation, but if Kristen was unable,or unwilling, to make time for more than one meeting with Rupert in three weeks, it seems unlikely she would have made time for more than one or two meetings with him, in the previous, single week. In any case,the meager amount of time Kristen spent with Ru this summer, and the fact that the one afternoon we know about was spent in a car, or standing up, outdoors, in public, hardly adds up to an affair.

She actually should have sued immediately, when the first of the tabs used that word. I’m sure she was advised it would just make the publicity worse and drag it out–that the best thing to do was to wait and let it dissipate by itself, but think that was wrong. After it went viral, they would have had to sue the whole world. But if I were Kristen, I actually would pick out one of the most virulent haters and sue, just for the satisfaction. Because you have no evidence whateve that she committed adultery, which is what you claim when you use the word “cheating”.

US Weekly, the semi tabloid, now runs its Kristen stories without mention or links to their scandal pictures. The normal success of Breaking Dawn 2 indicates that few if any movie goers are altering their choices due to this scandal. This is what her employers, Hollywood studios care about. BTW Kristen is awesome in BD2. This matters more.

You know, you can catch way more flies with honey than with more flies. Kristen’s team should just suck it up just once but it’s been strident attacks about other people either doing the same thing as she did or knowing someone or being related to someone but who always gets an unfair pass. The latest besides a united attack on Kelly O or some random poor guy on twitter who saw Kristen at a restaurant is Melissa Rosenberg’s article that sounds just as defensive as Jodie Foster’s. The newest gist is that if Robert Pattinson had cheated on Kristen instead, he would have been praised and loved for it. I’ve only read 300 versions of this type of argument related to something that Kristen has done in the past few years and it gets very tired. Kristen herself even told EW during an interview that Rob gets away with saying and doing anything (like what has he said or done that is so negative anyway) and he could take a dump on the queen’s face. So she made another pr problem by trying to defend herself against a previous pr problem. But using someone else as the example all the time is the routine agenda. The bottom line is Robert didn’t publicly cheat or ever do anything to publicly disrespect her. So I find Melissa Rosenberg’s article disingenuous in assuming to know how people would react to him for something he never did and she’s just shifting the blame to everyone else again. Yawn. Each time it’s something bigger and badder so can’t wait for the next go round.

The tweets? You mean Snow White pic? Well, Liberty new about the fling before the pics were released. So the pic wasn’t posted immediately after.
All the pap pics – I think you should put this in perspective. Consider all the times the paps DIDN’T catch her. She attended a Madonna concert in NYC recently and was backstage. No paps. No mention in the gossip rags as far as I saw. Wonder why as that would have been nice publicity. A few trips back and forth between LA and London yet no pap pics at the airport. Now consider the pap pic of Liberty taking her kids to school. No makeup, hair a mess. Why would she call the paps in that condition? Truth is the paps were parked outside her door for months. The catsuit? Well if someone at Marco Marco hadn’t alerted the paps that Liberty had purchased a catsuit costume from them, maybe the paps wouldn’t have thought to show up on Halloween. Or maybe they would have anyway because Liberty and Rupert live in neighborhood with many other celebs – her friends Jeremy Scott and Orlando Bloom live nearby – so the paps probably show up routinely. Her Malibu place is gated but the Hills place is not. The London party – it’s a big deal there. The paps are there every year. If you google you’ll find pap pics taken of Liberty attending previous years.

Many people think that the photos are photoshopped, so you get a call that usweakly has pics, they come out and it is you but not you. I think she has a face that is probably a makeup artist’s dream. It’s like a palette or something. Her makeup is always fantastic, except for that black eyeshadow debacle a couple of weeks ago. My favorite look from her was the NY screening of OTR after TIFF.

My understanding is that Liberty, being a very friendly person, really opened herself and her home up to Kristen. I’ve seen the phrase “Single White Female” used and I think that might be a little extreme but it speaks to something. Liberty is older. Her life was settled in a way Kristen’s isn’t. She’s very easy in her own skin. She’s thoroughly creative. By that I mean one of those types who does even the most mundane task with a certain artistic flair, if you know what I mean. I saw the wedding invitations she and Rupert dsigned. they were so adorable. They gut and remodel houses. The ‘park art’ pics she would post on the vogue blog. She’s comfortable in the fashion world that Kristen was just then entering and she helped Kristen out in that regard. I don’t mean she helped Kriste get a contract with Balenciaga – Kristen can do that well on her own. I mean she helped Kristen deal with a Balenciaga contract. She helped her acclimate. I thought it was interesting to hear Kristen’s comments on the fashion industry. that a good editorial is like a movie, that designer pieces are truly costumes and if worn well you are playing a part much like an actress. these are things Liberty has been saying for years. I don’t mean to say that they became besties – not at all. But they were absolutely friendly and I think Kristen saw a more PERSONALLY accomplished older woman and admired that. I think she appreciated the life Liberty and Rupert had been living. A very artistic, easy, bohemian life well connected but away from the public eye.

Like I said, I don’t believe they became best friends. They did socialize, even Kristen said this. I can’t speak to the rumors of Rup disliking Rob or vice versa. Liberty said the move to LA was difficult and I believe it was. She took on so much all at once. She was pregnant when they moved. 6 months I think. Did you know? Imagine how hard that was. The Hills home was not yet ready to move into so they were stuck in a small rental place for nearly a year while trying to finish the new house. Rupert plunged headfirst into building his career and was definitely neglectful. He’s very ambitious and understandably felt time was slipping away. Lib was away from most of her family and most of her friends back in the UK. Her lifestyle changed on a dime. It was tough, I’m sure, to get used to it but she said she did and eventually learned to love LA. They sa she’s happiest in Malibu, which makes sense given what I know of her nature. There is no way she would have admitted to that if it didn’t happen. She employs a publicist who would have known exactly how bad public reaction would be. A mother who loves her kids so very much is interested in a fantasy the child has for dressing up for Halloween. Do you agree? At a free school I taught at the ids had to make their own costumes, they could get help, but they were the creators of who they were going to be. It was a project. Something creative parents and creative children like to do rather than go out and buy one. Liberty is creative from her little movies I have seen. So wouldn’t you say that parents who love their children so very much would like to enter the child’s fantasy? It’s about love, right? So Halloween night Liberty is all decked out as Catwoman, The Dark Knight Rises Catwoman, who is a Virtual Reality character in a Game in the movie. She moves like one and her expressions are like one. Nolan has interfaced a Virtual Reality character in his movie. This is the fantasy costume Liberty chose to wear for herself. I question your morals for stating, without evidence, that she cheated. The tabs fed you that word from the first moment, to pump up a kiss and some fairly tepid hugging into a SCANDAL but you should have had the sense not to fall for it, and the sense of fair play not to repeat it. To cheat is “to betray sexually” (Webster) and that’s how everyone understands the word. Note the next poster down, simply assuming, after a thousand repeats of the C word, that adultery took place. There is no evidence anything more than what the pics showed took place, and that certainly was not sex. Innocent until proven guilty is the principle on which our system of justice works and the assumption any fair-minded person applies. And logic argues that no adultery took place. That meeting was the only time the two were together over a two-week period (Kristen was stalked every day during that time: If there had been another meeting, the paps would have had pics) If Ru and Kristen had been in a sexual relationship, would they have wasted that afternoon on a kiss in a parking lot, some hugs by a fence and a lot of driving around? Can neither of them afford a motel room?

I think the same thing about the way the media fed the word “breakup” to the public. Cuz I can see where this would be a natural assumption, however! Is there a solid confirmation that Rob ever said to Kristen “we are over and I am outta here.” which would be a true breakup. So did this happen or were Rob and Kristen “separated”, “estranged”, not talking etc etc. and does this mean they were “broken up” If they never were officially broken up, the “taking her back” also loses it meaning.

I think it was just the traditional midlife crisis. So many heretofor sensible, men go off the rails at forty-something. Right at this critical age, Ru found himself in a power positon, over a lovely talented little movie star who had the added attraction of belonging to the most desired man on earth. What a coup if he could walk off with her? What better proof he had not lost his machismo? I think he convinced himself he was crazy about her. He looked so blissed out, just holding her in his arms, that I really think he’d have wrecked his marriage and his career for her, if she’d been willing. I think that’s what really what upsets the haters so much–the fact that it didn’t look like a cheap hookup. It hardly looked sexual at all, it looked like love–at least on his part. The red carpet thing is a wierd ritual that gets wierder every year. Say it’s literally freezing weather and you have a whole crowd of normally dressed people, wearing coats, hats, gloves, and on the red carpet, guys in suits, who can wear an extra set of long johns under the suit. Then you have the female cast, who have bare arms,chests, backs and often dresses slit to the thigh. And they’re not supposed to look cold and miserble. Kristen ‘s latest outfits just carry it to an even further extreme. I mean, premiers, in the early days of movies were black tie events. The guys wore tuxes, the women evening dress, but outdoors, when it was cold,they wore fur coats. Now Kristen has to wear a fllm of lace, that shows her crotch, her butt, and looks like nothing anyone would wear to any sort of social event unless you call a striptease a social event. The event looks sort of like a slave market, where Kristen is being auctioned off.

Rupert and his writing partner were working on the script for the next SWATH–which, it was rumored, the studio meant to be the Huntsman’s story, a prequel which might or might not even have a part for her. Rupert, if he came up with a compelling script with a good part for her, might have made the difference. If he phoned to invite her to read his latest draft (the papers in her hand?)she ‘d have had all kinds of reasons to want to take that meeting that had nothing to do with indiscration.

I’d say I’ve been around the block and it shocked me. The video with the guns stuck in the underwear kind of made be queezy, too. If Kristen had done either of those, can you imagine the reaction?

The haters assume the “affair” would have continued, but we are just as justified in assuming she realized she was in over her head, and ended it.

Sorry, to butt in, but If you are talking about me, you’ll need to tune in to the Great punk part 11 when it gets posted shortly. I am not saying that all the photos are completely fake, only that nearly all have been digitally altered in an obvious way to cue viewers that they aren’t entirely what they appear to be. This is critical distinction that casts doubt on the “set up” scenarios” and strengthens others. More to follow, please don’t jump to conclusions.

Eyelashes get shorter and thinner as they approach the inner corner, and peter out before they get there, and so should the eyeliner. Who does have a black line that goes all the way around the inner corner of the eye? Lions. Tigers. Polar bears. So it’s the look of the predator–a look evolution has taught us to fear.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen any man as universally adored at Brad Pitt in his prime. George Clooney too, even now. You can’t find a woman anywhere that doesn’t swoon! I will say again, I always agree with everything you say. You have a way of helping me think outside of the Robsten box. I dare to call myself a reformed Robsten. Everything about this whole affair (pun intended) and the story that is being spinned about a) her not being a willing participant and b) it being momentary, goes against all logic. What actually happened and how it would have played out had there not been a movie to promote in a matter of months will remain so. It will be intersting to observe how it affects everyone long-term. Except they didn’t DO any joint interviews at the LA premiere or any other premiere that I can remember. They barely posed together at all, just after the Summit execs made them, then Rob took off and did all his own interviews on his own.

And they haven’t been seen together since Summit flew them back to LA from NY. Rob’s been seen out at the CM with MIA and his friends, and then he’s been at events with people like Richard Gere, also solo. Looks like he’s single, the same as always. He tolerated her while they had to do promo and now that’s over.
