Mag Claim: Robert Pattinson Wants to Leave “Twilight” so He Can Leave Kristen Stewart

Like a child threatened by the arrival of a newborn sibling, Life & Style does everything it can in a desperate bid to win attention.

Last week, the mag put together a baffling cover story of contradictions and conspiracy to explain how Robert Pattinson had “dumped” Kristen Stewart.

Worn out by those contrivances, Life & Style keeps it simple this time, taking a Pattinson interview and pretending it means something it doesn’t.

“Robert: I Want Out,” blares the headline, which is curious, considering Life & Style insisted just seven days ago that Pattinson was already “out,” so to speak. But whatever.

“Rob’s trying to distance himself from the only thing left tying him to Kristen Stewart,” explains the tabloid. “The Twilight franchise itself.”

Oh, this is gonna be good.

“In a shocking June 18 interview with The New York Times, Rob said he can’t wait for the movie series to run its course,” reports the mag. “‘It can get a little boring,’ said Rob, referring to the cultural obsession with him and his big-screen vampire romance. ‘The good news is that the whole thing is done in seven months.’”

What’s “shocking” here? Pattinson has stated previously that the Twilight process can be exhausting.

Well, Life & Style sees the quote as more dramatic… and code for something else.

Seven months, the mag explains, is when Pattinson will “be done filming the final installment, Breaking Dawn — and, of course, when he’ll no longer have to see Kristen every day on the set.”

Um… What?

So when Pattinson told the New York Times he looks forward to finishing Breaking Dawn, what he really meant, according to Life & Style, is that he can’t wait to get away from Kristen Stewart?

Uh huh.

But wait! The article gets even less rational!

“With Kristen out of the picture, it appears that Rob can’t wait to retract his fangs from Twilight and focus on other ventures,” says the tab, which lists “the drama Water for Elephants, with co-star Reese Witherspoon, and an indie flick, Bel Ami, with Uma Thurman.”

Of course, Pattinson is currently filming Water for Elephants, and he already filmed Bel Ami – and he still has Breaking Dawn down the road to “focus” on.

We know focusing on more than one thing is difficult for Life & Style, but actors manage to do it all the time.

Second, was Kristen Stewart keeping Robert Pattinson from doing non-Twilight work? Because apparently, he didn’t need Stewart “out of the picture” to make Water for Elephants, Bel Ami and Remember Me.

    I swear, sometimes I think these articles are written by jeaous cougars obsessed w/ Rpatz who are only enraged because he’s with Stewart and not them.

    Look, if it was such a sacrifice to be with Kristen, he wouldn’t be. He’s not a prisoner, last time I looked. He’s where he wants to be.

    I swear these kids get written about like they’re 40-somethings with 6 kids between them. If Jon Gosselin can run off, leave his brood of 8 and pick up with a 22 yr old, I would think a young single guy like Pattinson could do same. He doesn’t want to – he’s in love and crazy about her. He’s with Kstew because he wants to be, sorry the old bags can’t stand that.

    The only other woman that gets it worse than Stewart is Angelina Jolie — not a coincidence that they’re adored by two of the handsomest movie idols in history. Women are bishes to each other. But it’s even more of a shame that they’d do it to Stewart given she’s just left her teens – she’s a kid, she doesn’t deserve this kind of ridiculous jealousy and hate from these useless cows.

    I think the stories are written with kind of a reverse psychology thing in mind.I think the media writes the stories hoping that it will make either KS or RP come foward and tell the truth.It is also written to sell papers and make money.They know these two are hot topics and anything written about them positive or negative,truth or false is going to get attention.I like everyone else don’t know if these two are together,but I think if or when the truth comes out it is not going to be what people expected.I thought of another thing.What if these two have already told the truth and it was not what people wanted to hear.They have said they are just good friends why is that so impossible to believe.They have been working close together for three or four years now so isn’t it possible that they could be just what they say they are.People have shown pictures of them hugging,holding hands,etc.,nothing that stands out.She spent his birthday with him,if I am not mistaken there was other women in the pictures I saw.She met his parents,so did others around the world.He thanked her at the awards okay she is playing the character the movie is based on.They sat together nothing to over the top their,friends do that also.The kiss at the awards a peck at best.They kiss more in the movies.I will be the first to say they have great chemistry but after three films together wouldn’t that be expected.Isn’t that what makes the films so great.The entire cast has said they all think of each other as family.They all have great chemistry you can see that in the interviews.AG has nothing but praise for RP.You see them all joking and playing around.These secret glances between RP and KS people are talking about.I think if that is what a person wants to see and has made up their minds thats what it is going on that is what they will see.I am not saying people are wrong I just think that until it is confirmed people are speculating and are going to continue to speculate.Has anyone ever thought that the reason they haven’t confirmed or don’t comment on it when asked is because they have already told people the truth but instead of people believing the truth they would rather believe their own version of the truth.The things people see could be perceived either way.This could actually be seen in many ways;could be real love(love has many different faces and meanings as far as who and which way it is directed at a person),could be a close meaningful friendship,could be a publicity stunt.It could be looked at in so many different ways but it all comes down to one simple “FACT” no one really truly knows.We are all on the outside looking in and just forming opinions about people we really don’t know.

    I agree with Nicety. But does it really matter if kristen and rob are together or not, They are just two amazing actors who are trying to handle the intensity that has escalated with The Twilight saga. As stated by all involved in the franchise, “Nobody had any idea it was going to be this popular.” They cast are all going to be close due to the fact they are all going though the same thing, Its only as the leading roles the press have picked up on Rob and Kristen like the fans have which makes everything they say or do now public knowledge, however they are normal people and should have the right to have a personal life away from the publicity. Rob unlike some of the other members of the cast, has NOT grown up IN the public eye so people need to remember this is all new to him, so yes he might slip and say or do something unprofessional, But that adds to his appeal and shows he is still learning. Added to the fact that when interviewers talk about how sexy and good looking celebs are, Which is an egotistic trait shown by meny other celbs is not held by Rob he gets embarrassed. He is a normal down to earth person and lets hope though all of this that does NOT change.

    It’s their fault why no one believes them. They’re always too intense about and tense around each other. Kristen especially gets way too flustered. There is way too much sexual tension between them that almost the blind can see. Even if they are just good friends they want to sleep together and haven’t for whatever reason.

    While I love Twilight (the story, the books) and all, Please Please hurry and end this saga, because I’m soooo sick of this mess….They are together…They are not together..This use to be fun, but in my opinion, these two people have literally destroyed this fantasy love story. I use to think Robert was so good looking and classy. Now, after all of the ridiculous mess that he says, has said, and doesn’t say, he just looks like a typical silly boy to me. I can’t hardly watch the previews of Eclipse, because all my mind sees is Kristen (Bella) cursing and giving everybody the finger, smoking, smoking drugs, and dressing like a boy or a hooker. Their mess have messed up my mind, and I can hardly enjoy this beautiful story again,inspite of the fact that the media is now trying to say good things about dirty mouth Kristen so this movie can sell. I now really enjoy watching Vampire Diaries and Tru Blood. Also, why would you want to be with someone that either can not or will not tell the world that you’re his girl? If he can’t or won’t shout it out loud to the world that you belong to him, then why do you want him? Kristen is like a but call on the down low….Not kool

    They are absolutely ridiculous and think they can make him leave her if they are together.
    They have illusions that “he needs a mature woman”. They talk about her with the nastiest curse words you can imagine. They live in a fairy tale world.They state that he will lose his fans and career if he doesn’t leave her as if they know what is best for him.They start criticizing him as well when they get started and call him terrible names..They are on Show biz spy-the ones I read.They told me I was gay because I took up for her.I feel sorry for her and worry about her safety.
    They spend entire days criticizing her.He should speak out and tell them to leave her alone -maybe he isn’t the gentleman they say he is.
