Robert Pattinson on GMA: I’ve Never Been Interested in Trying to Sell My Personal Life

Truth rating: 10

(ABC)

Robert Pattinson’s Cosmopolis press tour continued on Wednesday with an early-morning stop at “Good Morning America.”

VIDEO BELOW

“GMA” anchor George Stephanopoulos, referencing “The Daily Show” interview in which Jon Stewart gave Pattinson ice cream, then handed the star his favorite breakfast cereal, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, as a way for him to open up.

Stephanopoulos said he had to get “the elephant in the room” out of the way, and asked Pattinson, “How are you doing” and “what do you want your fans to know about what’s going on in your personal life?”

But Pattinson remained mum.

He said, “I like my fans to know… to know that Cinnamon Toast Crunch has only 30 calories a bowl.”

Pattinson avoided the Kristen Stewart situation, as Gossip Cop had previously reported he would.

The Cosmopolis star simply explained, “You go into it to do movies. I’ve never been interested in trying to sell my personal life.”

When Stephanopoulos asked if he’ll ever get used to the intense media scrutiny, Pattinson replied, “If you start getting used to it, it means you’re going crazy.”

For the most part, though, Pattinson stuck to talking Cosmopolis and his character.

He also discussed how maybe the paparazzi and tabloid should focus on the “interesting” personal lives of billionaires.

Totally and completely first class all the way. He remains resolutely private. THAT is how you maintain your privacy. Screw publicists. He doesn’t need one. He’s doing just fine.

He did not deserve this kind of prying into his life. Poor guy has to stand up and answer for something he was a victim of. Stewart better be prepare for a sh*tstorm if this is what Pattinson has to deal with.

  • http://twitter.com/tialog11 Ina S.

This guy is great, he knows how to handle with the public in a smooth way and how to be polite and honest! A handsome and talented actor, we’ll see his promising working in the future! Good luck for you, Rob!

  • tell me another

    Well done Rob. Well done.

  • Guest

Perhaps Stewart should take Rob as publicist LOOOL … Well done Rob you are great!!!

  • rob4everlove

this is why I love him so much! My only one! Stay as you are Rob ♥

  • Stacy

I don’t know why interviewers keep asking him if he keeps saying he will keep his personal life private?
I am assuming they think THEY will be the ones to get something out of him.

Just like years ago when everyone was wondering if they were dating…. we might never know for the longest time.

  • YUK

You are a bastard, self centered, selfish,a manwhore who doesn’t have balls. YOU ARE SELLING IT,
I don’t know why people feel sorry for you, you are an excellent good “actor” in real life. Simply forgot where have you been 5 years ago.

  • bbq

He handled this with dignity. Love you Rob!!!!

  • Yeah.

Yeah. He didn’t talk much about his personal life in the past… he isn’t going to talk much about his personal life now.

Everyone keeps asking the man if he is okay as if he has some illness.
If he says he is fine I am sure he is.

  • Jill

You realize how crazy you sound, right? Oh, wait, that would require cognizance of some kind.

  • do

Is it true that Kristen has accepted that they not going to be together..that has got to be a rumor from perez and rador

  • To YUK

A bit mean, but I do agree that five years ago he was “nothing.”

No one would have their dream guy Rob if it wasn’t for Kristen.
Remember how Catherine H. said that they wanted to cast that Shiloh guy as Edward, but Kristen was insisting that Rob get the part?!

Catherine said she took the chance with him since he seemed to get along well chemistry wise, and upon Kristen insisting.

  • Jennyg38

That’s just a rumour from a `source` as always, so don’t believe that one

  • Guest

    perez and radar… all said…

  • ethelouise

Sounds like somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

  • i remember

    i remember catherine saying that.
i even remember rob saying he was thankful catherine gave him a chance, and kristen insistence.

  • Guest

I truly hope they stop asking personal questions and concentrate in his acting career.
as a human being I just want him to have some peace of mind. Enough already

    Team ROB

  • guest

    Yikes…. Happyfeet/Kiko/Dylan is losing her shit…

  • remember

    i remember that.
i also remember that rob said he was thankful to be given the chance, and the part.
    he was nice.

  • Anonymous

I think Rob made it very clear (on GMA)that he wants his fans to know nothing about his personal life. In an interwiew with TIME he said that he guessed that if people think they are worried about you it’s kind of sweet but odd, with an afterthought that basically said if we can feel empathy for a stranger (himself), we can empathize with the people in our own lives.

Very wise man, and face it – he is tired of EVERYONE’S bullshit.

  • Pgpauldavid

this is my opionion but i think the affiar was fake guys rob kristen rupert liberty everybody was when in on it even us weekly it was poly to get people to see rob new movie because no one was going to go see it and don’t belivie me look at the facts kristen get caught the first time rob wait four days to kick her out no most of the time there gets kick out the day the person finds out and they rob goes to stay at reese winterspoon guest house no i would stay with a guy friend and a women would stay with a women friend and another rob gave it away it was fake by his interviews he has done like saying he does not have a publicst he does her stephanie ritz she his agnet and publicist and also from liberty only said one bad thing about kristen and delete her twitter account and also no has saw kristen expected for them stage pics kristen and rob are fine

  • justsayin..

The fact that he’s no longer wearing the watch she gave him should say something.

  • Falstaff

He did a creditable job. Deflected personal inquiries and stuck to business.

  • Anonymous

Who peed in your Cinnamon Toast Crunch this a.m. Sunshine?

  • guest

two of the most notoriously innacurate, fake, lying sources out there. radar put it out there, Perez picked it up. Believe nothing from those sites.

  • Relax

Seriously? What did he do, he pretty much said that the media is spinning this out of control, he doesn’t sell his personal life which includes hers, and that people should be careful with their words. Relax.

  • Guest

oh please not again…… take your rose glasses of

  • JS

There is a reason that in the English language we have commas and periods.

  • guest

Well wait until tomorrow and sales of Cinnamon Toast Crunch are going to be thru the roof. I bet the company CEO is calling him now to be on the front of the box. You people are seriously…..CRAZY

  • Mary390

I think he said it all – pretty much telling everyone he’s not going to talk about it. Why talk about it? To sell more magazines? More advertisements on the websites? It’s a private matter.

He also said to be responsible with your words and that the media will spin whatever they want.

  • Jennyg38

well he didn’t wear it at Comic Con or TCA, so don’t think so. Plus we don’t even know she gave it to him

  • Janey

Watch? We are basing people’s lives if they wear a watch or not?

Maybe it’s broken, maybe it needs a battery, maybe he left it home. We are reaching people.

  • Mary390

What does that have to do with anything? Seriously, take a chill pill. This is Kristen’s mess, and Ruperts. Sad these are the consequences. He was the one who was also cheated on, so they are both hurting.

  • Troll

    Stop answering yourself.

  • Tandy

Rob handled himself very well in this interview, he was more serious than usual and made some good points about his movie while not talking about his personal life. I also liked the quote something along the lines of if more people spoke for themselves rather than via a publicist they would have to take responsibility for what they say. He looks great, he does look just like he did back during the first Twi movie. That’s a great quintessential Rob look, with the hair and looking lean and healthy. Just like Julia Roberts, she tried to fight the long red hair smart girl thing, but that kept fans happy and connected to her image, so she finally became at home with who she was rather than try to change identities every five minutes.

  • Guest

He wears the watch in some pics at Comic Con…

  • Anonymous

I honestly slept through the entire interview….GMA is on WAY TO EARLY HERE! From what I hear though, he did a credible job. Good for him!

  • Guest

about hers he said nothing… he spoke only from himself…it is out of control because of her stupid pr team… and yeah the pisc of her

  • Zelly64

You are COMPLETELY delusional. Balls for what, dickhead? He isn’t selling anything and your capacity for logic and rationale is obviously completely diminished or non-existent. Have you realised how stupid you sound, you fool?

  • Mariepettey

It over, the man has move on and so should we.He been knock down but like a big boy has pick himself up and is carrying on.As for him and her I think that it pretty clear that it over. This is the same thing when he or she never confirmed that they were an item, but at the end of the day it was pretty clear that they were. And now is no diffrent no one confirming it but it crystal clear it over. And that just the way it is he will never talk about his private no matter what or give people a clear yes or no.

  • Guest

perhaps an advise for his ex…

“I also liked the quote something along the lines of if more people spoke for themselves rather than via a publicist they would have to take responsibility for what they say. “…

Hardwicke has raved many times about the “amazing chemistry” those two had when she had their screen test in her home, alone, on her bed, the same bed that she showed off to several publications just this year (something creepy about her ewww).

This was in reply to YUK, discus messed up sorry

Rob doesn’t owe Kristin his life just because once upon a time she told CH “that’s my bitch, I want him”.

  • red v

So just because they had chemistry together, that CH said was undeniable, that gave Kristen the right to publicly humiliate him and break his heart?

  • Fiction

She’s pissed no one paid attention to her crazy rants.

  • Anonymous

Hardwicke has raved many times about the “amazing chemistry” those two had when she had their screen test in her home, alone, on her bed, the same bed that she showed off to several publications just this year (something creepy about her ewww).

Rob doesn’t owe Kristin his life just because once upon a time she told CH “that’s my bitch, I want him”.

  • Fiction

Why can’t we leave these two alone? Hasn’t the media speculated enough?

He never speaks about his personal life and no need to start now.

Kristen has said in the past: “I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them. People say, Just say who youre dating. Then people will stop being so ravenous about it. Its like, No they wont! They’ll ask for specifics.”

I think he is not only trying to respect himself but her wishes. We don’t know what is going on in private, let them be.

  • Shelly

I think Rob is doing what he is always doing, being honest and true to himself and that is very commendable and respectable. He never talk about his personal life, values it as only his own. I guess what Kristen fans wants to hear is for him to say something positive about the scandal, anything that will pull Stewart out of this mess. Yes everyone knows Kristen helped him to get the Edward part, she never let us forget that everytime they were asked about the first Twilight movie (comic-con last year), he might have owed her that but the public humiliation he got from her is thousand times more than to compensate for it. KS fans should actually be thankful he’s not saying anything about the affair, he is being quiet about it letting it die down. If he is someone like Shia who tells the world his hookups (w/Megan), KS would be committing suicide by now.
ps. people feel sorry for him because he is the wronged one, i for one didnt understand the hate you have for him.

  • Guest

“I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them. ”

True. She just cheapens them by cheating.

  • Guest

Good God another grasy knoll theory. Your idol hooked up with her lover on the street. Accept it and move on. NO one gains from being called a whore and No one gains from being publically humiliated. Liberty Ross didn’t gain anything (although frankly losing Rupert is a win win) she gave up her career to push his and this is how he repaid her- hooking up in the street with the start of his first movie in the street). More importantly his kids did not deserve andy of this.
The true test is how you behave after you’ve been thown under the bus. Rob doesn’t have a PR person and yet the class that that man shows is awe inspiring.

  • http://twitter.com/dab17 dabby chavez

i love how decently he handled the situation.i’m so proud of you rob!!you’re a very brave young man.

    You are so right!

No matter what what she did is still wrong. There no excuse for what her and rupert did. There are both adutls and both knew what they were doing that it was wrong. She 22 old enough to know better.Cheating not a mistake it a choice a desion.

Rob, you are so classy and handsome.

I’m sorry, that article just seems self-serving to me.

    Thanks Shelly!!!!!!!!!

  • Sandy

What we hate about others is usually something is always something that is an issue in our own lives, – either a dark side of ours we can not accept or a trait that we would like to have.

Would you like to have more balls yourself?

    Are you not selfish enough?

Do you feel like a manwhore?

This is no way meant as an offence.

This is meant to show that I feel sorry for you obviously not being happy with your life.

Reflect on this for a moment.

  • guest

A very stupid choice. How could she do that to this lovely man?

  • http://twitter.com/Kiara88_Italy Chiara Salandini

I just wish they could stop asking awkward and useless questions about his private life, which, it should just stay..Private:)

  • Fiction

Sorry, I don’t see it that way, and I don’t think either of them are anyone’s puppets. Let me take that back, she’s her PR’s puppet and they aren’t doing a very good job.

  • Fiction

I fell right into that one.

  • guest

Your lovely chose wrong, and will always regret her stupid decision.

  • guest

I could completely respect your statement if it hadn’t been for the fact that you brought she-who-shall-not-be-named into it. Take it to one of her threads. I’m not interested in seeing it here.

  • Anonymous

lol, but you get an A+ for your classy comeback, Kudos Fiction!

  • guest

    Really?

  • Kyan

Funny… she had no problem with cheapening it when giving her PR statement after the affair

  • Anonymous

Lol, 7 a.m. is too early here, too. I had 2 hrs. sleep and got up to see it.

  • Chloe

But Kristen was wrong as soon as she said that…the speculation regarding their relationship went crazy…steroid crazy.

  • guest

He would be nowhere without Kristen. I hope he remembers that while he is ‘trying to decide’ what to do.

  • guest

    Really? Blah, blah!

  • Fiction

Keeping it Classy is my middle name.

  • guest

    Classy, very classy. Yummy!

  • seeking the truth

Once again – you are just repeating gossip. Until she says something in public we won’t know what is happening. Don’t you find it weird that she immediately released a statement to a publication that she historically has not had a relationship with in the press? They said she made a statement – we don’t really know.

  • Fiction

The MTV Awards and the press junket for Breaking Dawn are going to be a disaster. No matter what the publicists say, or Summit, these journalists are going to jump on all of them, including the Breaking Dawn cast. Such a sad situation all around.

In other news, the sales of cinnamon toast crunch will sky rocket by the end of the week.

  • guest

I thought about that too. I doubt it was a conscious statement but sometimes the subconscious sneaks in and I’m sure it’s a thought that has crossed his mind more than once.

  • Chloe

Yes….he does. I was trying to think why I thought he looked so good but I think Tandy said it right he looks like he did in the Twilight days.

  • pp

Here’s a little something to ponder: Robert is the biggest “Krisbian” out there. He’s known and loved her intimately for years. If you think Kristen’s fans are feeling protective of her, imagine how Robert is feeling. He might be really, really pissed at her, but love does not just disappear. So please don’t think you’re doing him any favors by bashing her, calling her horrible names, etc. Just putting that out there.

  • guest

Well, look where he is now! Where is your lovely? Rob, sooooooo handsome.

  • Fiction

I am sorry, I have to disagree, she and Rupert released this statements to People Magazine. If it were untrue, we would have heard that already. This has been going on for over three weeks.

People Magazine releases statements all the time.

Brad and Jen announced their separation.
Marc Anthony and J.Lo announced their divorce.
Brad and Angelina announced the pregnancy and birth of Shiloh.

The list goes on and on.

  • Chloe

LOL! I thought the same thing….very true. I was even thinking….hmmm what does that ceral taste like?

  • guest220

That’s what I thought too! Then I looked up “mistake” in the dictionary . . .
The real issue for me is – those pics will be out there (all 54 of them) when two little Rupert kids are old enough to look it up for themselves.

  • JudoS

Of course he loves her, I truly believe that. It has to be horrible for this to be played on a public stage. Getting cheated on is bad enough, having it splashed for media consumption and spun 100 different ways has to be gut wrenching.

  • Fiction

I gotta respect the fact that you are keeping it classy “she-who-shall-not-be-named into it” vs. the things I’ve read on these boards lately.

  • Kat

Why do they keep on asking him how he feels???What do they expect him to say or do…fall on the ground in tears? That would make the crazy “Kristen haters” hate her even more!!!I understand that he doesn’t want to say something about it but in a way he’s also selling it by being mysterious about it.I don’t really care about what happens to them because I don’t know them at all andI think they deal with all of this quite well!Next month no one will talk about this anymore and life just goes on,also for Robert and Kristen…like it or not!

  • Guest

LOL. Big of you to acknowledge it. :)

  • guest

Last time I checked he was in a little known franchise called Harry Potter before Twilight. Yup, she really pulled him out of obscurity, uh huh. You do realize that outside of Harry Potter he has consistently chosen small independent films and at the time he chose Twilight he thought it was going to be another one. In fact the first film was very obviously filmed like a small independent film.

I highly doubt that he ever wanted any of this, but he has been incredibly gracious about it all. Kristen did him no favors.

  • Anonymous

    ditto

  • Kyan

I think that they are just consistently doing what they are expected to do. There would be critism for them if they didn’t at least try. Quite frankly none of them seem to be trying very hard, which is very, very good.

  • guest

Now that is some very good advice.

  • Eyeroll

So that automatically gives her a pass to jump on a married man’s dick while in a relationship with Rob? Your reasoning is ridiculous.

  • guest

Rob stayed very classy during the interview. He is just so “freakin” gorgeous.

  • guest

With each new interview my admiration for him just continues to grow. What an incredibly gracious, professional and classy man. Were it not for the weight loss and the smile that doesn’t quite make it to his eyes you would never know what he has been through. I am consistently impressed by his strength of character and professionalism.

  • Eyeroll

Her team would have denied the statement if it wasn’t from her.

  • Fiction

    I know when I’m wrong. LOL -

  • Anonymous

It’s just like that pap waiting to get the money shot…these talk show hosts think they are going to be the one to get Rob to talk about the cheating scandal but they don’t know who they are dealing with. Rob is a perfect English gentleman who would never air his dirty laundry in public. His lips are sealed regarding his personal life. Good for you Rob and I have to say, you are one hot looking man who is getting hotter by the minute.

  • J.C.

yeah so when someone dicks you over you should just kiss their feet right? You know the final decision was not up to kristen as to whether Rob got to play Edward or not.
So because she thought he should play Edward that gives her the right to treat him like shit and humiliate him and he is just suppose to take it? wow

  • Anonymous

    “cough…bullshit”

  • guest

I have been following the events happening too, waiting to see what becomes of them, but I am not an obessed fan, here is the reason I am following. I like Rob and fell horrible that this is happening to him, his life being played out in public everyone dangling after him for news, when he is a very private person. I also feel bad for Kristen, and before people start bashing me with comments about how I am stupid listen to my explanation. They have pictures, odd pictures as they came out of nowhere and no one really knows exactly what happened that day except for the little while that is photographed, she did something wrong, horribly wrong if the pictures tell the whole story, which since she is not denying it they might. I am just putting out there that all we have are those few moments in time to see. The situation taking place now though is between Rob and Kristen and everyone is throwing in their point of view. I think death threats, which she is recieving from Rob fans, and ex Robsten fans are taking the situation way out of hand. I also have to point out that most of what has been printed in the media about Rob and Kristen and the aftermath has already been proven false, untrue, and made up by people looking to sell a story or magazine. Everyone is claiming they have already sperated, he’s fine partying, and what not based on articles printed by prublications that are proben liars. I do find the situation odd, and mysterous, a lot of events that have been reported do not make sense, and fit in with the gossip of what people say is happening, and Rob will not speak of his public life but he does not seem too upset when he is asked, he just defelcts like usual. I do not know what is going on but I will stand by the statement his director Cronenberg said yesterday in an interview “what everyone thinks they know is not what they know.”

  • guest

I think he has been talking to Kristen. I’m sure he’s dealt with plenty of immature crap from her over the years. Yes, he’s hurt and angry, I can’t see him quitting her just yet over this..especially since the director behaved so sleezy, it almost seems he lured Kristen into this. He’s smart enough to consider their history and Kristen’s age. The arly adult years are a time of huge self discovery, trial and error- she’s on a learning curve. Foolish decisions, impulsive acts are often made, and what you learn from it can make or break you. Rob knows he had worked out many of his own kinks by the time he met her. Let’s not forget, she was 17 and he was just about the age she is now when they met.

Whether they will work it out remains to be seen. In the meantime, I wish them peace and clarity of mind. Although they probably won’t get much of it from the media.

  • Irish Girl

They’re not looking for an actual answer to the question. They’re looking for a REACTION to the question. It’s sort of like poking at the tiger through the zoo bars.

  • JaspersBloodType

He’s handling this with class, unlike how Kristen did when she made the public apology. Now don’t jump on me for that comment cause I have nothing against her, I just wish she didn’t do this all so publicly. I hope media will understand that he just doesn’t want to talk about it, famous or not, getting cheated on hurts and it’s going to take time for him to get over it and move on and all these reporters acting like he is dying from cancer is just bull. I will admit, as a huge fan I would like to know if he truly is okay, but I respect his privacy. From the pictures of him when him and David rang the opening bell at the NYSE I would say he is doing okay, and for everyone just to leave it alone. Focus on the movie he is promoting and that’s that. I would also like to say to whoever said he would be nothing without Kristen….I guess you don’t watch the Harry Potter movies, cause as a huge HP fan and avid fanatic.Robert as Cedric was loved, and many of us wanted to see him again in other movies. I also want to high-five the person who pointed out he likes doing the small independent films, he’s said it time and time before he had no idea Twilight was going to be like this, I bet if he did he wouldn’t have taken the role. Just because Kristen saw him and knew she wanted to jump his bones and begged Hardwicke(who is turning into a sell-out) to put him as Edward, I’m sure eventually he would have done a movie that made everyone know who he is, because he really is a great actor, he just needs to find the role that erases Edward Cullen and the bad movies he’s chosen previously.

  • Anonymous

As to why they keep asking Rob if he feels OK, etc., in today’s culture they have to. Be honest, if these interviewers had not addressed the coined “Elephant in the room” in any fashion, everyone who has followed this scandal would be very pissed (or at least frustrated).

I am glad that, in this first week of appearances the issue was rather benignly raised. That said I will be grateful if after this week they leave the issue alone. He came, we saw, he gave his answer: “I want my fans to know, uhhh……that Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal has 80 calories per serving!

  • Anonymous

I thought his GMA interview went well. I especially took notice to him referring to his agent as his publicist, although he doesn’t like to be referred to as such…. AND his agent tells him how things should be and Rob disregards it and does the opposite. I thought that was the most insightful part of the interview! I feel like a broken record here.. but, again, we still don’t know squat LOL LOL

    :-)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  • Irish Girl

I don’t think that Mario – or “Perez”- has written an original report/blog/post/article in years. He just seems to lift stuff from other sources and sites, most of whom are wildly inaccurate.

It’s actually too bad about him, because he was on track to be a really influential blogger and gossip columnist; sort of like the new millennium answer to Hedda Hopper. But he got too personal, too bitchy, and started doing shit like trying to “out” actors before they chose to do it themselves. Not a great way to make friends and influence people in this town.

Now no one wants him at premieres, nobody will give him tips or exclusives anymore, and he’s rarely invited to parties or events. Nobody trusts him. And that’s the death knell of credibility for a gossip columnist, reporter, or writer of any kind.

Geez, I do tend to go on, don’t I? Mario is an idiot. That’s where I should have stopped.

  • Irish Girl

Wait, what was that?! That’s gotta be the most godawful run-on sentence I’ve ever read in my life. You didn’t mangle the English language; you massacred it.

    My brain hurts now.

  • JaspersBloodType

One more point – To everyone who is freaking out about the MTV Movie Awards and Breaking Dawn interviews……grow up. Bella and Edward are FICTIONAL characters, did you all really think Kristen and Rob would be together forever?
I do feel bad for what the media will put them and the rest of the cast through, during those times, but it has to be done. I just hope Summit is smart and keeps the two apart. I would rather just see Rob or just Kristen and not some awkward posed photos and scripted smiles. As most can see he is in good spirits laughing and smiling in the photos from these last couple of days and I would prefer to see him like that. As for Kristen, if she knows what’s good for her, she should just do whatever Rob and Summit wants, she’s the one who messed up and that’s the ugly truth.

  • Irish Girl

Yeah. It says he’s not wearing a watch. You wanna read tea leaves next? It’ll be more reliable.

  • crb

Sorry, thought you were being sarcastic!

  • Ana

It seems that Pattinson is gaining quite a bit. But I agree with you. I don’t think he’d let Kristen do this for him just so he gets more publicity- He’d have to be the cruelest of his kind to do that.

Now BearlyImportant, we know how many calories are in Cinnamon Toast Crunch – I love that cereal and I never realized it was relatively low in calories!!!! Hello, and lol

  • Irish Girl

Gone are the days when, if we didn’t catch it on the telly the first time around, we’d miss it and only hear about it from smug friends. No more. Now we have the internet, with it’s lovely offspring, YouTube. :D

  • right-toe

Rob doesn’t need a publicist… because he’s own best publicist. He must come about this PR gift naturally, as well as get some A-level advice from Nick, and his sister, Vic. He is remarkably savvy in handling this situation to his advantage… not only did he take the sympathy justifiably bestowed him recently, but he expanded it… blew it out the water! And now, look… everyone is protective, and sighing… ah, he’s so great, he just wants his privacy… dammit, give this poor man his privacy!! Yet, all the while he’s got the media (and the fans, duh) literally salivating on his next words… Brilliant, I suppose.

  • Sleep

I know they are fictional characters, I just meant the junkets and the press will be relentless to everyone involved. So awful.

That is true!! I am not a big fan of CTC… I prefer Fruit Loops LOL

  • Gia

He is wearing it at GMA this a.m. Take a look at jared.com pics and at the GMA interview. Thw watch Kristen gave him is on his right hand!!!!! That blows your theory to Hell. Not saying it means anything but you are wrong in yourmsupposed theory.

I disagree… I think the BD2 promotion should be business as usual. They started this franchise together and they will finish it together. Splitting them up during promotion only adds their personal dealings into their work endeavors… and as we all know if not pointed out enough times by Rob in the last few days… his personal life is private. :-)~~~~~

  • Irish Girl

Yes, and like anyone would, she will deal with consequences of that action. But it is for none of us to say what those consequences should be; she did nothing to me, you, or the rabid masses yearning to slobber free. Cheating is a decision, yes, but lots of people make wrong decisions; ergo, they are called “mistakes”.

I’ve said it before; I don’t condemn her for what she did, and frankly, I hold Sanders far more responsible for the entire mess. But neither broke a law. Neither beat up someone (Hello, Chris Brown?), molested small children (Hi, Coach!), or murdered anyone (Please.). My point is, there are a lot more people worthy of my anger and my disgust.

If Kristen learns from her mistake, as we should all be given a chance to do, then who are we to judge her? You want to be judged on one decision you made for the rest of your life? Please. I don’t. If I did, I’d be in a dark hole somewhere with only Cream of Wheat and water fed to me through a tube in the ceiling.

  • Mariepettey

Agree I hope summint has some compasion and not force these two to pretend like everything is just peachy. They should I mean how much money has these two made summint, they own them that much.I think at the end rob will get his way and wont be forced to take pics and do interviews with her.

  • Irish Girl

Errr…well, I don’t know about that. We’ll see. You guys don’t actually think we know the whole story, do you? Or that we saw ALL the photos? *snort*

  • Anonymous

IF his smile does not quite reach his eyes it may be strictly due to the anxiety he might be feeling facing an interview bracing for a rude question? I think he looks really fine.

  • Irish Girl

A statement is just that; a statement. In the scheme of things, it means nothing. It can be modified, changed, or invalidated. I’m not saying that’ll happen – just that the statement itself is about as binding as floss at a rodeo.

Also, please do not take People magazine as the source of all gospel. It’s a platform publication, not an actual journalistic magazine. You want that, then National Geographic is a better bet.

  • Anonymous

I totally agree, they should separate them for promos. Putting them together would be disrespectful and tasteless.

ugh, I do keep them on hand for my nieces though

People honestly need to lay off Stewart. The punishment has far exceeded the crime at this point. Rob has dealt with this situation w/class and dignity, and will continue to do so. Kristen will, hopefully, take stock of her life and do some growing (and growing up). Have some compassion for both of them – he clearly loved her, and would likely not want anyone wishing her ill.

  • Bigbrowneyes1855

AMEN I agree with you LEAVE THEM ALONE I’m so proud of you ROB

  • pete

    Love Cinnamon Crunch Cereal!!!

  • Horrible

I hope not, can you imagine the questions?

“Kristen, tell us, and Rob why did you cheat?” “Kristen is it hard to stand next to the man you cheated on?” “Kristen what was Rob lacking that you had to go cheat?”

  • Juliet9

In terms of exclusive statements, they are usually made to People. Her statement would have refuted weeks go. But her team are morons and should have never released that statement.

  • Anonymous

I was taken by your statement “neither broke a law”. Has our civilization really forgotten about one of the first laws that were ever handed down to us? The Ten Commandments? “Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery”. Hell, Hollywood has done how many movies about them.

I’m not a zealot and I do not think that Kristin should be stoned, jailed, or that any harm should befall her. It just TRULY saddens me that I have read so many statements such as this.

  • pete

    ooh geez..

  • guest

Sorry about the spelling mistakes, they were just pointed out to me. I was in a hurry and multi-tasking when I wrote this.

  • Tandy

Even last year Ashley said that she and Rob would be repeating their promos together over in Europe (she mentioned this in one of their panel interviews in Paris). So that was the plan a long time ago before this happened. When she mentioned it he looked kind of frightened though, so maybe that was another thing that Kristen’s pr people didn’t know. I’m starting to think they weren’t included on too many memos.

  • Anonymous

If Rob and Kristen want to do it together, by all means they should be allowed to.

  • http://www.facebook.com/susan.layton.92 Susan Layton

I think her people may have jumped the gun and released that statement before they were supposed to. Before she had a chance to talk to anyone about this statement that was going to be released. It seems that so many are angry about the TIMING of the release of this statement.

  • Anonymous

It is some “good chit, man” lol

  • sad

Well you know stupid people are stupid and always will be.
Whether Rob is there or not, Kristen might be ask those kinds of awful questions! It has nothing to do with doing promo together or not.

  • sad

Gotta agree with you. Separating them just makes the media and the fans more focused on them being on bad terms.
The promo is in 3 months, things will have calmed down a bit, we don’t know if R & K will still be bitter/sad/crushed/whatever or if they’ll have moved on already.
If they feel they can be in the same room talking about their job, why not do it? Of course if they’re at each other’s throats, no way they should have to do the promo together.

  • guest

Glad to see Rob was hang out with Britpacker friend, Bobby Long last night,

  • HG

Wow you took the words right out of my mouth, people are crazy about this because they are so passionate about these two and their lives, leave them alone to sort things out either way.kristen is human and made a huge regrettable mistake and is willing to take the heat for it weather Rob discusses his personal life or not, which he won’t cause he’s too classy to do! For a private person like her to tell the world I’m sure against her PR team that she loves rob and is ashamed of what she did and not sugar coat it tells me she’s human and devastated, people should concentrate on the real scandalous affairs like the guy above said abuse, molestation and all the brangelinas out there that have a real sexually scandalous affair to talk about!

  • responder

Rob handled that well. Awkward and charming and classy and private as usual. Love him.

  • Irish Girl

First of all, the ten commandments are a religious doctrine from the Torah, not a legally binding document enforced by federal and state statutes.

Secondly, I would hope that we have evolved socially beyond the point where a woman — and particularly a young woman — is held to a standard that is equally expected of the man in the situation. Which so far has not been the case. Sanders is barely scratched by this incident.

I would also hope that sex, however egregious or wanton it may seem, remains a personal choice and not one governed by 5,000 year old laws that also said it was okay to give your daughters to strangers for sex as welcoming gifts, or as currency for trade in goods.

So, if you want to quote the Torah or the New Testament at me as a basis for behavior in men and women in THIS day and age, you need to remember; you can’t pick and choose just the ones you LIKE.

  • sad

I agree, this GMA interview went well. Much better than the Jon Stewart one as far as I’m concerned. Didn’t like the way he made fun of the situation and breakup. I thought that Rob was less uncomfortable in this GMA interview than yesterday. Or maybe he’s just getting used to these questions now. That has to be hard.

Of course he has a publicist in the person of Nick. Didn’t he already say something to that effect a while ago during an interview with K and Taylor? He was kidding yesterday when he told he should have hired a publicist, no way he would go face the media right now without whoever is playing his publicist giving him advices and with something planned in mind.

  • sad

    YUKKY

  • Irish Girl

I don’t think her team knew about the statement until it was too late, actually.

  • Tandy

I agree with you, way back when he said he only wanted to do small movies and no one believed him. But it seems like that’s the direction he’s taking. He does seem to be a throwback to a different HW, more Paul Newman than Arnold S. And glad he’s moving on to reputable directors with experience rather than newbies just starting off. He seemed to benefit from a good director in the Harry Potter movie, the first Twi movie and in his latest.

  • cherri

It is very easy for someone to help you get a job…the hard part is YOU keeping it, Yes she did her part, and he is doing his….what ever he does has to be his decision, and nothing to do with her helping him out in the past, your reasoning is limp to say the least, do you live your life around everyone who has done you favours…..I don’t think so, because to do such you will have no life………..he need to do what he need to do………..she has hurt him deeply, and for him to put up with it because she did him a favour is asking too much of him………if he need to break free, he should do just that………just saying….

Suggestion you to write a letter to Summit tell them what they should do for you.

Rob hope fans should get into his movie. He and Kristen will apart and not Involve into each other again while Breaking Dawan Part 2 is debunked in Novemb 16, 2012, be patient.

  • Tandy

Yeah, I agree with everything you have said. If he’s not happy, he at least is pretending pretty well. At times he looks a little shell shocked. Sometimes half of being successful is just to put the smile on and do your job.

  • guest

    Classy interview and handsome man.

  • lola

Nah. From what I’ve seen this week. He’s more annoyed by the media BS than anything else.

  • Tandy

I would bet ten dollars they will be split up during promos. Kristen seems very emotionally driven, and I don’t think that Summit/Lionsgate would trust her on the road with Rob not to melt down and make fun of him in public again. And I’m surprise at how Bill Condon let that go on for the Eclipse sideshows. I was surprised when I read that when she was upset during New Moon, the crew would run to get Rob to help her. I mean he’s just a young guy himself, where are the adults on set? I won’t even ask where they were during Snow White filming.

  • Ana

Well Catherine H.was a very good friend of Michael A. (Kristen’e ex) before the Twilight. So maybe that is why Kristen was hired. And what she did after that, she dumped Michael. Anyway, she wanted Rob to be Edward because she wanted to fck him.Did she think that she owes him forever because she wasnted him to be Edward.

  • smear

She has said there was no sex involved, whether people believe her or not is another thing. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt until I see evidence otherwise. All anyone has seen is pics of her that appear to be her kissing him and getting a bit close physically. Nobody knows for sure except those involved so we should not jump to conclusiions on our own.

  • guest

it is very simple, only Kristen can give truth, if she is keeping silent, she has no right to blame anyone. and she is clearly to choice being with rupig, she does not willing to say she keep off him forever.

  • Satine

I agree, they are tossing the ball to Rob and George did not persist, he let it drop after Rob said what he needed to address the issue, that he would not discuss it. Showbiz Tonight however, I saw a snippet on another site, they need to know when to quit or get out of the business. I believe GMA and Rob handled it nicely.

Bill Condon, Eclipse side shows? I think you mean David Slade, he is the director of Eclipse?

Where did you read about the crew running to get Rob when she was upset during New Moon? I’ve always understood that it was a testy period for them…during NM filming, until the very end (after she’d broken off with MA for good)

Rob, I watch your interview because of you as an actor and a person. I do look for at what you dont have, I look at what you have. Good actor, nice person.

  • bbq

oops. I meant to say ” I do not look at what you dont have, I look at what you have”.

I agree with you that Rob is handling all of this utter madness with class, but I disagree (sorry) with your comment about KS. Please don’t get me wrong as I am not defending her actions, because I don’t think anyone can. I just wonder if this was the actions of a desperate woman, who finally realised what she had just thrown away. Maybe she thought that by publicly admitting her guilt and her love for Rob, as well as pulling out of a project that she really wanted to do, she could show him just how much he means to her and was desperately trying to find a way to try to repair their relationship.

  • Bree

Yeah, he seems pretty smart. But then the Huff Po (which always slams him for some reason) tried to do PR counter clockwise by having the headline, “Robert Pattinson says that nothing that comes out of his mouth is relevant” and then ticks off all the things he said that they believed were stupid and commented that he giggled inanely. Ending with Rob mentioned his manager that serves as his de facto publicist in quotes, like Rob did indeed have a publicist, he was just lying about it. I don’t get that site at all. I have to admit, I thought TDS was charming, but on GMA, Rob could have been more prepared. He makes jokes about himself but then they are taken seriously and repeated. So my advice is fewer self deprecating jokes and when he giggles nervously Nick should zap him with a cattle prod. Other than those two items, he was pretty near perfect. And he looks wonderful.

  • Tandy

Sorry you are right, I meant Bill Condon for BD 1 promos. Rob wasn’t around for the Eclipse promos. I read that something happened during New Moon filming that lead to her crying and the crew went to get Rob to calm her down. I think it was actually mentioned by one of the crew members. Her feeling sad was never put into context and sounded like it was no biggie, but I just thought it was odd that they all turned to him as like the father figure almost.

  • Athena

I guess everyone’s forgotten Cedric Diggory? He didn’t just appear on earth when Twilight started filming. He had already made Little Ashes before that, and Cronenberg cast him in Cosmopolis after watching LA, not Twilight.

He got the job in Twilight because HE did the best audition out of the hundreds of guys they saw. He met with the producers following his audition at Cat’s house and they are the ones who hired him. And a good thing, because without him as Edward there would have been no sequel. He’s the draw of the franchise, no question.

  • Time out

She didn’t give him the watch, he got it at the Hamilton Watch event when he presented an award to his New Moon director, Chris Weitz. It wasn’t a gift from KStew, I don’t know where this BS gets started. Check the pics, he started wearing it the day after that event.

  • Rtp456

I wonder if Rob will go home to London for a visit with his family. Glad his friend Bobby Long is there to support him. I think what I have taken away from this press for Cosmopolis is that Rob is very much his own MAN. I don’t think that anyone tells him what to do, not even Kristen. If he listened to her, then it was because he wanted to, not because he had to. Robert Pattinson is a very smart man, he has show that this week. I would say he is just about perfect in every way. What makes him so perfect to me is that he does not see himself as special – which he is. That to me is what makes him so very special. Wow, he was blessed by God in the looks department, he is talented, funny, decent – I could go on. But this is what everyone that has worked with him or knows him says. So, on that note, I fell confident that Robert Pattinson will be just fine, no matter what. I think he has his head screwed on correctly and knows what he is doing with his life and career. Really think that we could all take a lesson from him. He’s not just the adorkable Rob – he is the man Robert. Wow! I am so proud of him and so happy that he will be just fine. I feel that in my heart after these last few days. Hope he never changes. He does NOT need to. He is special – never doubt that Rob, and this is not geered toward Edward. This is meant for you as Rob. (and before you guys start with the bashing) I am married to my own Edward and very happy) I just see something very special in this young man and I think this is why I got interested in his career to begin with. He has the IT factor, which I have not seen in a very long time. Love and Support to Rob!!!

  • sad

@Tandy I don’t get what you mean. If she was upset over something, needing support in whatever emotional state she was after filming a scene, why wouldnt they go ask her boyfriend to give her this support? I guess he was the one who could calm her down the best and who could understand how she felt at the moment the best. I don’t see anything wrong *confused*

  • Pauline

The critics of Cosmopolis would disagree with your hateful opinion, the movie is fresh on RottenTomatoes, and he’s getting some of the best reviews of his life, like this one from Variety Russia:

…the creator of the film is an ideal collaborator in the person Pattinson, whose fragile now, but powerful charisma gets here seductive animal form. This is the most powerful actor and performance, without a doubt, the most important of his career.

  • sad

I agree with you re. Kristen. I felt like it was indeed the actions of a desperate young woman. She was about to lose everything she realised were the most important things in her life. She did everything she could to make him believe her and save their relationship. She did sound desperate in this apology.

  • Pauline

Love the reviews Rob’s getting for Cosmopolis:

… And Pattinson totally kills the role. He’s dismissive and elitist, yet also dripping with charisma and downright swagger. He manages to display an old, rumbling rage under surface, and he does all this barely moving a muscle. He is to evil understatement what Nic Cage is to shouty mega-acting. At the end of the film he sheds a single tear and it’s absolutely devastating.

  • Michele

He looks so good, and I love that he shaved overnight. Such a class act, from head to toe. He wears the break up well, and I’m sure he’s never going to comment on it, they might as well give up asking him. He’s moved on, everyone else should, too.

  • Beans

Why do you care so much about this? Man, you are really angry aren’t you? YOU DON’T KNOW THESE PEOPLE…YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON…GET A LIFE ALREADY.

  • JuJu

I felt like this was a good interview, but I did enjoy The Daily Show interview more. I definitely felt like the Cinnamon Toast Crunch gift was pretty lame. It sure wasn’t ice cream! Nice try, Stephanopoulus, but you’re just trying to ride Jon Stewart’s coattails!

I look forward to seeing this film, and I’m proud of Pattinson for doing a film so out of the box.

  • ProudRobFan

Well said. I feel the same towards him Class act Rob and one in a million guy.

  • Anonymous

I was very impressed with Robert Pattinson. Obviously, he is a class act all the way. In his interview, George Stephanopoulos, a so-called legitimate journalist by the way, tried to pry the personal information out of him and did not succeed. I was disappointed in GMA for broaching the question at all. I had hoped for better from them, but obviously, that was a hope in vain. I get my news via computer so I don’t watch GMA or any of the morning shows, I read about it. I decided not the watch it when I read that GMA did indeed take the low road and try to pry into the man’s personal business. This is none of the public’s business whether they are concerned or not. What a shame this story has to be kept alive this long even on the more relevant news shows. You expect this from shows like Access Hollywood, Extra, or Entertainment tonight not to mention E!, but they don’t claim to be anything but what they are, purveyors of celebrity gossip. The man was there simply to promote “Cosmopolis” and nothing else. Everything else is absolutely none of our business. Good luck to Mr. Pattinson on his latest project and any he may have in the future.

  • Anonymous

Committing adultery connotes being married and since neither Stewart nor Pattinson was, I don’t think that adultery applies in their case, only in Rupert Sanders’ and Liberty Ross’s case. Not to mention, maybe none of these individuals are Catholic, so they may not hold themselves to the standards that the Catholic Church sets. Besides, I don’t think there is one single person in this world who hasn’t broken at least one, probably more of those Commandments. Nobody should be held to the impossibly high standard the Catholic Church expects of them anyway.

Besides I think we as a society have moved far beyond some of the antiquated ways in which women were looked at and treated in days gone by.

The worst you can say in this case is that Stewart and Sanders made a monumentally bad choice (not mistake over and wrongly used in this situation) which has hurt several people. Those not directly involved can claim to be hurt by it, but they didn’t do anything to the public, their co-workers or anyone else, so I don’t think any of us have a right to judge this incident at all. Besides, doesn’t the bible have a problem with judging people as well?

  • Linda

Kristen has lost Rob – what worse punishment could there be, to go through your life knowing that you threw him away for nothing. Everybody should just forget about their personal lives and leave them alone. Kudos to Rob for not discussing it, and I think Kristen won’t say anything either.

  • Linda

I think she was just pointing out that people shouldn’t be so hard on Kristen because she helped put Rob on the map.

  • Robfan

you should be ashamed of urself..that u hate his acting and certainly him and still have the time to comment here..

  • sheenspr

Correct!! Didn’t David and Rob told us that yesterday?

That is what I believe as well.Which bring me to his comment about people speaking for themselves and being reponsible for their words. Her apology was slammed as a PR disaster but I alwats thought she disregarded her publicist advise and went with her heart and soul.Desperate? Yes .Dramatic? Yes but at the same time painful and honest. Go big or go home.

  • jst so u know

thanks for saying that Rob is the BEST part of TWILIGHT..without him i doubt that there would have been a sequel..TWILGHT eould not have been the PHENOMENON…it is now..

  • jst so u know

Team ROB…Love you Rob for what you are..

  • jst so u know

u r correct…He looks great..its becoz he is more lean now..

  • sheenspr

Agreed. I always thought people were crazy everytime time they went on and on about how she was so mature beyong her years. I always thought she was erratic and still inmature. However, there is something fascinating about her and I can’t pin point it. I am sure Rob could describe it better.

We all make mistakes and that does not define who we are. It is what you do after the realization of that. Also Kristen has been living on a bubble during her formation and teenage years. A bigger phenomenon that what we can possibly comprehend and in the middle of the social media era. You may question Everything and in a moment f@ck up.

Her situation is not even close to what other celebrities are exposed to. No one hacks private pictures or stalks other celebrity couple like them. No one cares who Emma Watson is dating, or Daniel (Harry) himself , or people care that Andrew drop Shannon like a bad habit for Emma Stone? Child please!!

  • jst so u know

    sorry it’s “him” not her..lol

  • sad

Exactly! No idea Ruth’s opinion on the apology, I didn’t see it as a pr disaster but something necessary, things would have worse if she had said nothing and acted like she didn’t own up to her mistake. But true the ‘I love him I love him’ didn’t sound like something a publicist would tell her client to write.
And yes, it did sound desperate, very painful, honest, heartbreaking and heartfelt. It definitely made me feel sorry for Kristen too at this point. She was about to lose everything, in her personal and professional life and was doing everything she could to reach out to Rob.

  • guest

Wow you did not get what I was trying to say. I was in no way commenting on the way Kristen Stewart acted or is acting now. I was only remarking on the situaton and how everyone watching thinks they know everything and then what they think they know, what the magazines and such say, gets proven false and new ‘reports/facts” come out. Then those too get proven to be false.

  • Santera

In her case, she should have gone home and stayed home.

She learned a very painful lesson, which I hope will serve her well the next time she tries to take her partner for granted. She had a good man and she threw him away for a cheap roll in the hay.

  • Santera

I think you’re forgetting something. When she was getting it on with that director, she was wearing Pattinson’s cap on her head.

That was no mistake. She was making a statement. That was a definite eff-you to Pattinson. It was the most blatantly disrespectful thing she could do to him. She might as well have spat in his face. That is what I think he cannot forgive, and what he should not forgive. A momentary lapse is one thing; disrespecting your partner is a whole other ballgame

  • guest

I agree 100% and I also think that some people have forgotten that kristen has been recommended for parts by someone as well. Didnt Liberty recommend Kristen for Swath? I wonder if they think Kristen should owe Liberty for the rest of her life?

  • mud

Good for Rob. He handled himself well.

  • guest

Let me guess, you think the conversation should go something like this… “Kristen, you broke my heart and cheated on me but hey, you recommended me for a part in a movie four years ago so I’ll let it slide.” Get real. He probably would have gotten the part anyway because of their chemistry. I really think part of why that movie did so well was becuase of it. Besides Liberty recommend kristen for the part in SWATH and look how that turned out for her.

if you ask me loosing him is the worst punishment she could inflict on herself *sigh* but who are we to judge?

Amen and god bless! You said it best

There so much in this interview, that he reveals, but does not? I hope that makes sense. Watching Robert, makes me see more about his personality. He really is indeed a private person and pretty much does what he wants to do. He has a fantastic head on his shoulders, and that is what I admired most of him when I first saw him. Not his looks, but his humble humiality which is ao uncommon in that society. Despite all the stories or spins about what he has done or turned his back on Kristen, I don’t think that is the case. Whatever has happened, I believe Robert is the type to forgive and move forward, because of his humilality.

If you remember all his interviews, when he spoke about Kristen, he always had the most respect for her. Because of this, does it mean, that he will turn his back on her? Nope, I don’t think so. If not as a couple, but as friends he will there for her in time. He understands this craziness and the backlash that people are throwing at Kristen, is just too cruel. Yes, she did or did not, is not the point, but forgiveness will set you free. He has a solid family background that he can do that. With that in mind, I have the upmost respect for Robert.

I hope as human beings, people should let this bashing go because it is not healthy. Remember words cut the deepest wound

I was totally impressed with the way he took charge of that interview. Ole George was all set to get a scoop. Not happening. I have a lot of respect for him in the way he has handled the media. He is promoting his movie, thats his job. His personal life is no one elses business. I wish him the very best in the future. And I sure hope all the Twilighters come to their senses soon and realize that saga is over. There is NO Edward & Bella, They are Robert and Kristen and are each ready to move on in their personal and professional lives. So let them.

I so agree with you. They have spent so much together over the last several years. The one person who would get over being pissed is Robert.

I still don’t see his looks as anything all that great, but no matter. I have a new found respect for him and the way he’s handling the situation. It’s refreshing to see a celebrity who doesn’t go ape-s*&^ crazy on Twitter for all the world to see. He’s got some class.

Reading between the lines, I wonder how serious the ‘Robsten’ relationship was anyway. It has been reiterated on this site that they were not considering marriage and I read elsewhere that she had only moved in with him 2 months ago. If that’s true it seems to be a less serious relationship than with his previous girlfriend. Lots of fans wanted this to be an epic romance but in reality it may have been much less involved.

  • Irish Girl

I think you’re reading a wee bit much into the erstwhile tea leaves, and I think you’re fabulously over-invested. I don’t know that she was deliberately sticking it to anyone by wearing that cap, because I’m not inside her head. It’s quite possible she wasn’t in the frame of mind to realize what she was wearing or how it might be perceived.

  • Jennyg38

Agreed we don’t know if they are together or not. We won’t know until they are photographed or spotted together. A 4 year relationship doesn’t just disappear overnight, my bet is they’re trying to work things out in private and not talking about it is the best thing for the both of them

  • Jennyg38

Agree with you, I think she realised she messed up and apologised publicly so he knew how sorry she was. I personally think they’re sorting things out but that’s my opinion

I believe my comment was straightforward and was addressing one statement made by Irish Girl: “neither (K&S) broke a law”. Basically I was saying that I am sad that so many people seem to be forgetting “morals” ( if that word sits better with you), a blase attitude regarding adultery and thus the sanctity of marriage as well. I did not single out Kristin (“women”) or state how she should be treated.

However, at this point I will say this:

Kristen had an affair with a man she knew was married, she was a party to adultery as defined in (non-secular) dictionaries. I did not judge her, I did not say that what she did affected me in any way.

I STATED, BASICALLY, THAT THE ATTITUDES REGARDING MORALITY IN OUR COUNTRY SADDENS ME. PERIOD.

And who said anything about Catholic? Catholics were not exclusively handed the Commandments and the Pope certainly was not the scribe; as far as the Dogma of the Catholic Church is concerned I cannot see the relevance to my comment, it quite frankly appears to be thinly disguised “Catholic Bashing”.

Please read my reply to ims91464 .. or not

  • Jennyg38

We don’t know that she’s lost him

  • Jessie

A class act, always has been. He’s always handled his celebrity well without b’ching about losing his privacy or trying to be something he’s not. He’s making good choices in movies and I hope him continued success.

  • Anonymous

Just a complete and total class act. He’s out there doing his job and not hiding away. He shouldn’t have to answer any questions about this mess since HE DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WRONG!!

  • Alex

I have a difficult time understanding how a bit of “making out”, not full on sex, is considered an affair. She’s a young girl who was pursued by her boss. I feel sorry for her…she has suffered a great deal of criticism for all of this and no one seems to recognize and understand the fact that a grown married man has taken advantage of a young girl. He’s the monster in this story, not Kristen. As for her relationship with Rob, if Rob really does love her then he will forgive her and move past this whole mess. I hope he shows the maturity to see this for what it is…but if not, then she is probably lucky it is happening now and not years later.

Santera is fabulously over-invested? I have seen your “wee” responses all over these boards and have even experienced your bile when I made a reply to one of your comments. you either ignorantly or blindly misconstrued my contemplation.

Lady, you are dogged when it comes to the defense of Kristen, and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but your insult to this person is so hypocritical… your (fab)Lousy over-investment is showing.

We should discuss the Torah sometime, lol, don’t you think? not on this venue, but a blog? No? I thought not

  • Anonymous

How do you think Rob looks? How is he handling himself?

  • Anonymous

we cannot pick and choose who we should forgive,or who we should judge, right?

  • Irish Girl

I think we can only make decisions about things which directly affect and concern our own lives.

  • Irish Girl

I think he’s doing a pretty remarkable job, actually. Particularly for someone who has never had a publicist at all. His instincts are pretty darn good. And he looks great, which helps.

  • Irish Girl

Oh, so you’ve already figured out what I’m thinking? Mazel.

  • Irish Girl

You’re entitled to your opinion. *shrug*

  • sad

I don’t understand how people are mad at how the situation was addressed at GMA and love Jon Stewart making fun of the situation/breakup along with Robert. Rob was clearly uncomfortable, laughing nervously not saying anything, not adding in JS’s jokes. At least at GMA, Rob could at least say that he doesn’t sell his private life and GS didn’t address it like it was the latest laughing matter.
But yes, Rob handled everything with class and he should be asked anymore now. Focuse on his job.

  • Anonymous

We dont know if she really wants him back at this point in time. Maybe she outgrew rob.

  • Anonymous

Does anyone know if a lot of people showed up for the cosmopolis premiere..

  • Heath

Jenny, stop posting this crap everywhere. We all know she didn’t lose him, she threw him away. She killed whatever feelings he had, that should be clear from how he’s going forward without ever mentioning her.

He’s done, it’s all over. If she had any class, she would issue a statement saying she’s no longer trying to get him back, that she realizes her mistake was too big and she’s seeking therapy. But she doesn’t have any class so she’ll keep dragging out the drama and getting more attention.

  • Elaine

You are kidding, aren’t you? Fans camped out for two days just to see Rob arrive. It was sold out, there was a huge after party and it was a big success.

When Rob and Cronenberg opened the NYSE on Tuesday morning, they announced that it was the biggest crowd on Wall Street in their entire history.

GMA this morning also had the biggest crowd they’ve ever had, just to catch a glimpse of Rob.

  • Katie

Whatever he felt for her is over, she killed it. Just looking at those photos and thinking of how she was wearing his clothes and then coming back and lying to his face–he’s not going to get over that.

He’s moved on, I don’t know why everyone doesn’t see it. He wouldn’t have laughed when Jon Stewart told him to kick her to the curb if he still had feelings for her.

  • Taylor

She’s proved she’s too immature to be in a relationship. She doesn’t need a boyfriend right now, she needs a psychiatrist.

  • Kayinmcn

The only problem now is that it will only be shown in 6 or 7 places in the USA, most on the west coast. I don’t know why and hate it. I live in the South and we have no venue to see it in. The closest is NYC. I cannot believe this is happening again, like Bel Ami. How do they expect the movie to make any money at all. I have been looking forward to seeing this ever since I heard it was being made, and especially with Rob. Can anyone explain this?

  • Anonymous

There have been some amazing reviews for cosmopolis and I wonder if that will translate into any awards (i.e. golden globe or even an academy nomination).

  • Brenda

Any idea how crazy you sound? He has no idea you exist. Get a grip.

  • Irish Girl

Did you get a phone call from Mr. Pattinson saying as much? No? Big surprise there.

None of us has a clue what the two of them are feeling or saying, and none of us–including most of the gossip rags and tabs–has the first idea what they will do from here on out. To say otherwise is ridiculous.

And in fairness, you also don’t know that Stewart is “dragging out the drama” for attention. In point of fact, no one has seen a single photo of her or heard a verifiable, reliable word from her since the story broke. The drama is being dragged out through other channels, most likely; it doesn’t need her help.

I’m really amazed and appalled at the level of crap that is being thrown at that girl, and of presumptions being made about her, Pattinson, their relationship, and the entire situation without a shred of authenticity. All I smell is bile.

    LOL..what celebrity-driven article ISN’T?

There are degrees of self-serving promotion, but I guarantee you that everything put out by an actor, musician, artist, celebrity or their team has an element of that. Otherwise, there’s absolutely no point to the effort.
