Rob handled himself very well in this interview, he was more serious than usual and made some good points about his movie while not talking about his personal life. I also liked the quote something along the lines of if more people spoke for themselves rather than via a publicist they would have to take responsibility for what they say. He looks great, he does look just like he did back during the first Twi movie. That’s a great quintessential Rob look, with the hair and looking lean and healthy. Just like Julia Roberts, she tried to fight the long red hair smart girl thing, but that kept fans happy and connected to her image, so she finally became at home with who she was rather than try to change identities every five minutes.

I think he has been talking to Kristen. I’m sure he’s dealt with plenty of immature crap from her over the years. Yes, he’s hurt and angry, I can’t see him quitting her just yet over this..especially since the director behaved so sleezy, it almost seems he lured Kristen into this. He’s smart enough to consider their history and Kristen’s age. The arly adult years are a time of huge self discovery, trial and error- she’s on a learning curve. Foolish decisions, impulsive acts are often made, and what you learn from it can make or break you. Rob knows he had worked out many of his own kinks by the time he met her. I would bet ten dollars they will be split up during promos. Kristen seems very emotionally driven, and I don’t think that Summit/Lionsgate would trust her on the road with Rob not to melt down and make fun of him in public again. And I’m surprise at how Bill Condon let that go on for the Eclipse sideshows. I was surprised when I read that when she was upset during New Moon, the crew would run to get Rob to help her. I mean he’s just a young guy himself, where are the adults on set? I won’t even ask where they were during Snow White filming.

She has said there was no sex involved, whether people believe her or not is another thing. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt until I see evidence otherwise. All anyone has seen is pics of her that appear to be her kissing him and getting a bit close physically. Nobody knows for sure except those involved so we should not jump to conclusiions on our own.

I read that something happened during New Moon filming that lead to her crying and the crew went to get Rob to calm her down. I think it was actually mentioned by one of the crew members. Her feeling sad was never put into context and sounded like it was no biggie, but I just thought it was odd that they all turned to him as like the father figure almost.

She didn’t give him the watch, he got it at the Hamilton Watch event when he presented an award to his New Moon director, Chris Weitz. It wasn’t a gift from KStew, I don’t know where this BS gets started. Check the pics, he started wearing it the day after that event.

I agree with you re. Kristen. I felt like it was indeed the actions of a desperate young woman. She was about to lose everything she realised were the most important things in her life. I was very impressed with Robert Pattinson. Obviously, he is a class act all the way. In his interview, George Stephanopoulos, a so-called legitimate journalist by the way, tried to pry the personal information out of him and did not succeed. I was disappointed in GMA for broaching the question at all. I had hoped for better from them, but obviously, that was a hope in vain. I get my news via computer so I don’t watch GMA or any of the morning shows, I read about it. I decided not the watch it when I read that GMA did indeed take the low road and try to pry into the man’s personal business. This is none of the public’s business whether they are concerned or not. What a shame this story has to be kept alive this long even on the more relevant news shows. You expect this from shows like Access Hollywood, Extra, or Entertainment tonight not to mention E!, but they don’t claim to be anything but what they are, purveyors of celebrity gossip. The man was there simply to promote “Cosmopolis” and nothing else. Everything else is absolutely none of our business. Good luck to Mr. Pattinson on his latest project and any he may have in the future.

There so much in this interview, that he reveals, but does not? I hope that makes sense. Watching Robert, makes me see more about his personality. He really is indeed a private person and pretty much does what he wants to do. He has a fantastic head on his shoulders, and that is what I admired most of him when I first saw him. Not his looks, but his humble humiality which is ao uncommon in that society. Despite all the stories or spins about what he has done or turned his back on Kristen, I don’t think that is the case. Whatever has happened, I believe Robert is the type to forgive and move forward, because of his humilality.

If you remember all his interviews, when he spoke about Kristen, he always had the most respect for her. Because of this, does it mean, that he will turn his back on her? Nope, I don’t think so. If not as a couple, but as friends he will there for her in time. He understands this craziness and the backlash that people are throwing at Kristen, is just too cruel. Yes, she did or did not, is not the point, but forgiveness will set you free. He has a solid family background that he can do that. With that in mind, I have the upmost respect for Robert.

Reading between the lines, I wonder how serious the ‘Robsten’ relationship was anyway. It has been reiterated on this site that they were not considering marriage and I read elsewhere that she had only moved in with him 2 months ago. If that’s true it seems to be a less serious relationship than with his previous girlfriend. Lots of fans wanted this to be an epic romance but in reality it may have been much less involved.

Agreed we don’t know if they are together or not. We won’t know until they are photographed or spotted together. A 4 year relationship doesn’t just disappear overnight, my bet is they’re trying to work things out in private and not talking about it is the best thing for the both of them

I believe my comment was straightforward and was addressing one statement made by Irish Girl: “neither (K&S) broke a law”. Basically I was saying that I am sad that so many people seem to be forgetting “morals” ( if that word sits better with you), a blase attitude regarding adultery and thus the sanctity of marriage as well. I did not single out Kristin (“women”) or state how she should be treated.

I don’t understand how people are mad at how the situation was addressed at GMA and love Jon Stewart making fun of the situation/breakup along with Robert. Rob was clearly uncomfortable, laughing nervously not saying anything, not adding in JS’s jokes. At least at GMA, Rob could at least say that he doesn’t sell his private life and GS didn’t address it like it was the latest laughing matter.
But yes, Rob handled everything with class and he should be asked anymore now. Focuse on his job.

Does anyone know if a lot of people showed up for the cosmopolis premiere..

You are kidding, aren’t you? Fans camped out for two days just to see Rob arrive. It was sold out, there was a huge after party and it was a big success.

When Rob and Cronenberg opened the NYSE on Tuesday morning, they announced that it was the biggest crowd on Wall Street in their entire history.

GMA this morning also had the biggest crowd they’ve ever had, just to catch a glimpse of Rob.

She’s proved she’s too immature to be in a relationship. She doesn’t need a boyfriend right now, she needs a psychiatrist.

There have been some amazing reviews for cosmopolis and I wonder if that will translate into any awards (i.e. golden globe or even an academy nomination).

Did you get a phone call from Mr. Pattinson saying as much? No? Big surprise there.

None of us has a clue what the two of them are feeling or saying, and none of us–including most of the gossip rags and tabs–has the first idea what they will do from here on out. To say otherwise is ridiculous.

And in fairness, you also don’t know that Stewart is “dragging out the drama” for attention. In point of fact, no one has seen a single photo of her or heard a verifiable, reliable word from her since the story broke. The drama is being dragged out through other channels, most likely; it doesn’t need her help.

I’m really amazed and appalled at the level of crap that is being thrown at that girl, and of presumptions being made about her, Pattinson, their relationship, and the entire situation without a shred of authenticity. All I smell is bile.

There are degrees of self-serving promotion, but I guarantee you that everything put out by an actor, musician, artist, celebrity or their team has an element of that. Otherwise, there’s absolutely no point to the effort.
