Robert Pattinson fans are fighting back.

Their favorite shy superstar hounded relentlessly by paparazzi, many of Pattinson’s admirers have taken to the Internet in a big way. They’ve broadcast a united message to the photog community expressing disgust with what they see as grossly invasive practices.

“He Doesn’t Want This, Neither Do We,” is the banner taken up by major Pattinson fan sites, addressing the paparazzi who have turned the “Twilight” star’s life upside-down. “Enough is enough,” declares ThinkingOfRob.com, “Because no person deserves this, celebrity or not. There are limits and you have gone too far.”

The most striking element of the campaign is a collection of hundreds of photographs contributed from fans across the world who pose with their hands covering their faces in protest. “This is our way of saying leave him alone,” explain the site proprietors who have collaborated on the effort.

Well done guys, lets hope they get the message and Rob and Kristen are left with some peace and privacy. Being hunted like animals is not healthy and I worry for Rob and Kristens safety with the lengths these intruders go to invade their space and their privacy. Rob and Kristen have done a great justice for the supporters with interviews and magazine shoots even if the interviewers use old interviews and make up a load of bull. Rob and whoever he is with including his friends this weekend who too were caught up with the intrusion do not deserve this and Rob taking one for the team again and again so Kristen can escape from the vultures should not be necessary. Shes tiny, shes worked her guts out for two years solid so too has Rob do not need to hear the abuse thrown at them from the paps to get reactions, its cruel. So to everyone who has covered their faces I was one too am adding something else…Two fingers up to the paps and leave Rob, Kristen, and anyone whose in their company alone. They shouldnt need security 24/7. Its not the fans thats the danger its the paps. Leave them alone.

I think that it is kind of ironic that the fans are doing this considering a large percentage of them are the ones who constantly repost the paparazzi photos on their blogs, fansites or twitters. Hypocrisy at it’s best, I suppose. If you’re going to complain about something, you should make sure that you are not one of the people fueling the demand.

  • Gabbysway2

That is not a fair or true statement JessieBee NOT all the fans post or celebrate these type of pictures. As much as we like to see them we like it EVEN more when they are not harassed. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened and this is the reason why many celebrities prefer not to venture out. Being part of Hollywood requires a certain amount of attention and he has certainly been game with the WORLD PRESS TOUR they just wrapped. A little privacy and a normal night out is not too much to ask. It’s not hypocrisy, it’s concern, because really if this is “our” fault then we should be able to fix it, right?

  • JessieBee

I said a LARGE PERCENTAGE. I did not say all.

  • Suefromnc

FINALLY!!! Someone is listening to the fans too! It has been very troubling to me to see how Rob and the rest of the Twicast is hounded! Have we not learned anything from Princess Diana? Now if people would stop BUYING the pictures these obnoxious paparazzi photographers take that would end it all!!! I have also witnessed a few times the rotten things they say to them–it breaks my heart!!

  • Dullipper

But the thing is, JessieBee that the people participating in this campaign don’t want to look at those pap photos .. We don’t repost them ..

  • dmsm24

And besides, the biggest point of all this is that the interviews and photo op pics Rob and Kristen give their fans are the best quality and much more beautiful than any pap pic.

I love to see stars smile :)

  • dmsm24

Oh wait, I just thought of why the pap pics sell…. it is the fact of where are they now or what are they up to now?

The fans want to know where are Rob and Kristen now. So why don’t we fans be patient and wait for uploaded pics from the fans themself. The pictures that have been taken with the stars themselves. Where the stars stop and pose with the fans.

Now there is one ungood thought to waiting for the fan pic…. they could sell their pic…. and then the situation would turn out the same, where the fans are taking pics of the stars when they don’t want their picture taken.

humph…. there is no win win for the stars it seems…. except maybe we just DON’T BUY, OR TALK OF THE MAG OR PAPER OR WHATEVER THAT SHOWS BAD PICS

Have Rob and Kristen confirmed they are dating?

An all-out boycott of ALL tabloid magazines and gossip websites is the only way to stop the demand for photos of these actors. That means not clicking on the gossip website pages and giving them hits. Lainey Gossip herself said that when she started posting Twilight articles with the candid photos, the hits on her website shot up. Her site grew in popularity and so she kept posting them.

Just saying you won’t repost them is not good enough if you want it to stop. Make all the videos you want with your faces covered and petitions, if you don’t abide by those rules, it won’t make any difference. At the end of the day, that’s how the paps make a living. They don’t care about your photos and petitions when they have to put food on the table.

Demand fuels supply. The problem is fan generated, even if not consciously.

I hope you guys are still reading the comments on this article. I have started 2 groups on facebook in support of Rob. We are a new breed of Rob Soldiers…..not only are we fighting for Rob, we are also fighting for ALL CELEBRITES. We have sent letters to the California State Assembly and Senate urging them to pass AB 2479 the most recent anti-papz bill and they’ve passed it. We have now been sending letters into Governor Schwarzenegger urging to to sign it into law.
We would love to have as much support as we can, because the more people we have the fight against agrressive paparazzi, the more our voices will be heard. We have backing from Rob as well as quite a few celebrities, & they know we are fighting for them, so we know we are serving our purpose! :)
