HollywoodLife, one of the Internet’s major suppliers of nonsense, speculated earlier this week that Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs were either “engaged” or “married.” The site knew these stories were bogus when it printed them. That’s how HollywoodLife operates. It publishes whatever it wants, regardless of the truth, and refuses to be accountable.

The fact that it calls itself a “news” site is a joke. HollywoodLife is not a news site. It’s basically just a giant middle finger to everyone who reads it. It’s glorified fan fiction at best, cynical click-bait at worst. And these Pattinson-Twigs rumors are a great example of why HollywoodLife should rarely be trusted.

On Monday, HollywoodLife posted an “exclusive” with the headline, “Robert Pattinson & FKA Twigs: Engaged By The New Year?” How can an “exclusive” come with a question mark? That’s an excellent question. It’s almost as though HollywoodLife doesn’t know what the word “exclusive” means. It’s definitely clear that HollywoodLife doesn’t know what “engaged” means. As Gossip Cop reported, Pattinson and Twigs are not engaged.

On Wednesday, HollywoodLife posted a story with the headline, “Robert Pattinson & FKA Twigs Married Already? See Her Ring.” The site pointed out the jewelry on Twigs’ left hand and speculated that Pattinson had either given her a promise ring, an engagement ring, or a wedding ring. Of course, it was none of the above. As Gossip Cop reported, Pattinson and Twigs are not married.

On Thursday, HollywoodLife shared this headline, “Robert Pattinson & FKA Twigs: Why The Engagement Is Suddenly On Hold.” The site had the gall to call it an “exclusive.” The gist of the article is that the couple has put plans for a serious commitment on hold. “He has been telling friends that he loves her, but marriage and engagement is not going to happen any time soon,” a grammatically-challenged phony source tells the outlet.

To recap, here’s what HollywoodLife said this week: Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are about to be engaged. Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs might be married already. Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are not going to be engaged or married anytime soon.

The whole time, HollywoodLife happily accepted the page views it knew its bogus headlines would generate. HollywoodLife does not care about the truth. HollywoodLife does not care about its readers. HollywoodLife only cares about tricking people into becoming readers. And HollywoodLife basically just told Robert Pattinson fans it believes they’re gullible idiots who will believe anything.
