Robert Pattinson turns 31 on Saturday. In honor of the actor’s birthday, Gossip Cop is looking back at the past year of his life.

On Pattinson’s 30th birthday last year, Gossip Cop busted a rumor claiming Katy Perry was “leaning on” him for support amid (untrue) rumors her then-boyfriend Orlando Bloom hooked up with Selena Gomez. Days later, we called out Star for falsely alleging Pattinson had a “reunion” with Kristen Stewart. Not surprisingly, the exes continued to be connected through made-up rumors in the months that followed, particularly by sites like HollywoodLife and Celeb Dirty Laundry.

In September, speculation swirled about a breakup between Pattinson and FKA Twigs. Our typical sources were unusually quiet on the subject, but the couple put split rumors to rest when they stepped out together in October. Naturally, there were also false tabloid stories about their wedding plans, including two days apart in early January. And though he and Twigs didn’t attend the Met Gala earlier this month, there’s no need to gossip about their relationship status now, as they were photographed out twice in the last two weeks.

On the professional front, the first trailer for Childhood Of A Leader came out just days after Pattinson’s birthday last year. The actor hit up Paris Fashion Week last June to celebrate his partnership with Dior, and a new ad campaign debuted in September. In October, Pattinson went to the New York Film Festival for the world premiere of The Lost City Of Z. He also attended a number of other screenings for the film in early 2017.

Long-awaited news came last November when it was revealed Idol’s Eye would shoot in 2017, two years after the production shut down due to financial issues. Another Dior campaign was unveiled in March, right as the actor was promoting The Lost City Of Z. That same month, during an interview for the film, Pattison commented on Donald Trump, who infamously tweeted about his relationship with Stewart. April then brought the U.S. release of not just Lost City, but also The Queen Of The Desert. To promote the former, Pattinson appeared on “GMA.” Also in April, it was announced Pattinson’s next film, Good Time, will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

Could more Twilight also be in his future? It’s unlikely, but the star piqued fans’ curiosity when he said there “could be some radical way” of continuing the franchise. He also expressed interest in starring in a “really strange” superhero movie. As for what fans can actually look forward to, Pattinson is expected be at Cannes later this month. Before that, though, the trailer for Good Time will be released this Tuesday. And on his birthday Saturday, the first poster for the film surfaced. Not a bad present for fans.
