Gossipcop, have you had Robsten haters subbing here for the last couple of months? Seems like at every turn lately you’re dissuading trivial non-negative stories about this couple’s relationship, and you waste no time either: no they’re NOT married, no they’re NOT engaged, no Pattinson is NOT begging Stewart to marry him. Uh, okay – what ‘source,’ is soooo very interested in shooting down harmless rumors that simply imply these two really are committed, and on the same day such banal rumors drop? In other words, what’s the big deal? Are we starting early on the Water For Elephants promo tour? The last time a studio tried to paint Rob as the non-committal single manwhore and hide his love for Kstew, it was around the Remember Me promotion — and we all know how well that turned out at the box office. Rob’s love for Kris is why many of us want to see him in romanttic roles – so inferring things about a relationship he obviously cherishes (even if it’s with these constant relationship refutations), makes fans scratch their heads and feel demoralized. Not smart.

That said, Gossipcop used to be the first to correctly describe Rob and Kristen as very private people, so the GC statement: “when Pattinson and Stewart don’t get engaged this week, In Touch can claim it was because she’s ignoring his “plea,” makes NO SENSE. If they are a super private couple as GC has always maintained, how will we know “when they get engaged?” or “when they do NOT get engaged?” According to Gossipcop’s running narrative on this couple, it’s not like they’ll be holding press conferences either way now is it? Point being: neither Gossipcop, nor the rest of the world will likely know when/if this couple’s STATUS will change, and you won’t know if it’s changed already.

That said, Robsten fans would suggest to whoever thinks they’re doing people favors by answering every fun positive story about this romantic relationship, by shooting it down – to take a deep breath and back the eff off. You really aren’t helping.

That is the most ridiculous reasoning for a tabloid story that I have ever heard. It is not harmless if it is a lie. This article is trying to make Rob look like an idiot and Kristen look like a bitch. That is not harmless. I applaud GC for going after all the stories that are bogus, and I don’t think this article, in any way, sounds like GC does not believe Rob and Kristen are together. What this article says is that there is not an engagement in the near future. I would hope not. Kristen is 20 and Rob 24. Why would either of them want to get married at such a young age. You don’t have to be engaged or married to be in a loving commited relationship.
Keep up the good work GC. Keep shooting down the tabloid garbage and I’ll keep burning the rags in my fireplace. They keep me warm.

GossipCop, to my knowledge, has never denied Rob and Kristen are already married. If they have and I missed it, someone please post the link. They always say they are not NOW engaged, or not NOW thinking of getting married. In both cases, they could be ALREADY married. Until GC denies it, the idea of a secret marriage will continue to have legs for this couple. People talk about it endlessly on the E! Awful Truth board. Say it’s crazy all you want. Until GC, or the couple, deny it, the secret marriage story will dog them and continue to surface in the tabs.

I do recall seeing an interview on television not long ago wherein Kristen Stewart was reflecting on marriage and family. She stated that someday, she will probably want those things in her life, but she is looking down the road in maybe 10 or 15 years. I think that she is focused on her career, by now she knows the score in Hollywood as it pertains to actresses, not so much actors, that these years are crucial to the advancement of her career. She, to me, sounded like she had pretty firm convictions on what she wants to do in her life. Sure, that could change, but at the moment, I think that marriage is the farthest thing from her mind and I doubt sincerely that Robert Pattinson would ever be that desparate enough to feel a need to beg anyone to marry him. On the contrary, he seems like the type that would prefer to move on and find someone who was more in line with his views on life. Kristen Stewart is not the only fish in the pond, the man can pick and choose and never run out of options. Whether it happens for the both of them or not, well, that really is their concern and should not be anyone else’s, should it?

How ridiculous that you already have Robert ‘picking and choosing his endless options,’ for companions, and you bizarrely have pegged Kristen as an ambitious career woman who’d want no part of him. That’s kind of strange considering they’re virtually inseparable, and seem to be stuck like glue even as she’s working (he travels to her and visits her onset) and he’s working (she travels to him, and visits his sets even hanging w/ his co-stars who reference her all the time). Um, who are you again? I only ask because you sound like you know them and their business – which I’m sure you don’t.

Paula I agree with you. This article makes Rob look like some pussy whipped guy begging Kristen for attention while at the same time making Kristen out to be a bitch for not accepting his proposal. In Touch couldn’t have been more offensive with this article. While I don’t think Rob and Kristen are engaged or married, I do look forward to when they are a bit older and are ready to take that next step.

@Rosiii — get some comprehension skills, really. I think that Kristen Stewart is a smart young woman who has very strong convictions about her own life and her career and where she wants to go with it. I did not, at all, “peg” her as an ambitious career woman who would “want no part of him”. Learn how to read. It is not my fault that you don’t see women who are strong and career oriented as a positive thing. I am so sorry for you, really, I am. As far as me having Robert “picking and choosing his endless options” for companions, what I actually said is that I doubted sincerely that Robert Pattinson would ever be that desparate that he would feel the need to beg anyone to marry him (which is what this article is about). There was no reference made to Kristen, it was a general observation. You need to learn how to comprehend what is written and stop reading between lines that are not there. As far as who am I? I would ask the same question of you? How would do you know that they spend virtually every moment together deeming them “inseparable”? You read the same tired crap as everyone else, so let’s see, the few times each of them visited each other on their respective movies sets does not mean that they do it all the time, only in your mind does that work. How would you know they are inseparable, are you with them 24/7? Do you see them personally on a daily basis? Do you know their friends and their family? Are you in their inner circle? Or do you believe all of the high school bullshit that the trashloid and gossip sites put out there about them? You truly need to get a grip on reality.

In an interview with Access Hollywood Kristen was adamant about not getting married while she was this young. She said that in the future she would maybe consider it, but you can’t honestly expect a girl this beautiful and who’s career is about to take off to want to get hitched. Who knows what Robert wants out of life in a personal level, for all we know he could very much want to get married to a fellow Brit, they would have more in common. Kristen was always out of his reach I thought. She’s a free spirit.

Not saying they are or are not married, just saying GossipCop has never denied it flat out. Kristen said she was not NOW ready to get married. Not that she is not already married. If you read carefully, neither she, nor Rob, nor GC have ever said they were not now married.

This is why the rumor persists. True or False. I’d like to see it put to rest, personally. I think it allows for all sorts of conspiracy talk that makes them seem absurd. It has gone on for over a year and no one has ever put a stop to it.

GC should be applauded for going after this crazy tabloid story. In doing so, they never denied Rob and Kristen are a couple. What they did was squash Rosiii’s obsession of those two being engaged/married. In reaction, she attacks Gossip Cop which is about the only trusted fact-checker out there. (Is that what you call “attacking the messenger”?) I believe R&K are together for the long haul, but for the life of me cannot understand why some people are so obsessed in marrying these two off. They are in love, and value their privacy above all else.

That is lovely for Kristen if that is truly what she thinks, but quite frankly? She is only one of the two and while that may work for her, doesn’t necessarily mean it works for the other. The two people in question would have to be on the same page as far as not needing the paper goes, if only one is and the other isn’t, how will that even work? It takes two to make that work. Some folks have traditional prinicples (yes, even in this day and age) and they want more than to just play house together; they want the real deal, the whole enchillada and anything less than that is just not how they see their lives in front of them. In relationships it is not only what one wants and needs, it is what they both want and need that matters.

@Gypsyjae. I’m glad someone responded. Thanks. I guess what I was trying to say, is marriage might be in the future for these two, but right now I don’t think she is visiting with a wedding planner. They are both so young. What is the rush? I know a couple of young couples who are truly committed to one another but have postponed marriage. Kind of opposite of what I did when I was young (married within a year). Trend? Generational? I don’t know. These kids I know have marriage in their longer term plans and are still committed to one another. And I’m glad they are waiting. Rob and Kristen (if I were to guess) might be similar. In their case, it isn’t a matter of saving money, or waiting for a stable career — obviously. Perhaps they want to wait for some of the firestorm to die down (wishful thinking?); wait for the hoopla of Twilight to subside; hope to have more private time to experience a relationship that they view as more normal. (minus the paparazzi and rabid fans)

It’s fine to think they might be married or engaged if you get your kicks that way, but to believe it like the Gospel, and to attack GossipCop and accuse their writers of being Robsten haters because you imagined a slight that wasn’t even there seems so extreme, it is almost scary. If Rob and Kristen read that first comment, I would imagine they would be looking wide-eyed at one another with a “Whoa!” thrown in.
