Robert Pattinson Plays Bad Dad In New ‘Life’ Clip – WATCH VIDEO
Robert Pattinson is shown as a bad dad in a new clip for the upcoming movie Life, in which he plays Life magazine photographer Dennis Stock. Watch the preview below!
In the clip, Stock is out with his son, but it’s clear the two don’t have relationship at all. Stock first scolds his son for playing with his camera, telling the youngster it’s “not a toy.” That’s followed by him saying that he has to cut short their father-son time because he’s “got to get to a meeting.” Throughout, the boy look sullen.
Life, as Gossip Cop has previously reported, tells the true story of Stock and his relationship with James Dean, played by Dane DeHaan. The two men initially met when Stock was assigned to photograph Dean for a Life story in the early 1950s. They quickly struck up a friendship when traveled across the country for the magazine’s story. Stock, of course, took the iconic photo of Dean strolling through Times Square with a cigarette dangling from his mouth.
As Gossip Cop also earlier noted, Pattinson said he was attracted to the role of Stock because of the complexity of his parenthood issues. He told Total Film, the photographer was actually an “awful father” who “doesn’t love his kid,” but found “solace in his art.”
