We thought we might escape 2009 without any more ridiculous Robert Pattinson romance rumors.

We worried we wouldn’t have another chance to laugh and laugh and laugh…

And then we saw this.

Yes, hard partying singer Amy Winehouse has “developed a crush” on Pattinson and “finds him and the idea of vampires incredibly sexy.” So sexy, in fact, she’s “threatening to have a vampire-themed blowout” at her home on New Year’s Eve.

News of Winehouse’s crush comes from Janet Charlton’s Hollywood, which infamously alleged Spencer Pratt’s sister suspected him of setting up her DUI arrest and announced (wrongly) that Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor had split.

But, hey, why should that track record of failure influence our response to Charlton’s statement, “Are we imagining things or does Rob look a little like Amy’s ex-husband Blake [Fielder]? Picture Rob in a wife-beater.”

So, Gossip Cop fans: Robert Pattinson and Amy Winehouse. Couple to watch in 2010?
