Robert Downey Jr. NOT Making Music Album With Sting, Despite OK! Report
Robert Downey Jr. is NOT working on a new music album, despite an OK! report. According to the magazine, the Iron Man star is “working with Sting on a follow-up to his 2004 debut, The Futurist.” Gossip Cop can bust this story. It’s simply not true.
According to a source for OK!, “He vowed to never make another album, but he couldn’t refuse an opportunity to collaborate with his idol.” The magazine’s insider claims, “Rob likes making music more than movies.” OK! points out that Downey and Sting performed together at the singer’s 60th birthday party in 2011. How nice.
But they aren’t recording an album together. Downey isn’t working on any album. “This story is not accurate,” a source close to the actor tells Gossip Cop exclusively.
OK! is not having a lot of luck with its recent music “reporting.” In December, the outlet claimed Adele had become a “recluse” too freaked out to record a new album or perform publicly. That was totally false, too. Maybe OK! should stick to reporting on imaginary pregnancies, divorces and feuds instead of looking for music scoops.
