Robert Downey Jr. Injured on Iron Man 3 Set, Production Halted

Robert Downey Jr. was injured on the set of Iron Man 3 on Wednesday, causing production to be halted.

In a statement, Marvel Studios says, “Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt.”

The studio adds, “There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates.”

A rep for Downey declined to comment further.
