Robert Downey, Jr. NOT Hurt on Set of “Sherlock” Sequel

Truth rating: 0

The way the National Enquirer tells it, Robert Downey, Jr. should have brought his suit from Iron Man to the set of the Sherlock Holmes sequel.

According to the tab, while filming a horse-drawn buggy scene in London, co-star Jude Law jerked the whip handle at the wrong moment and smacked Downey in the eye, “knocking him flat.”

Downey is said to have “howled” as shooting stopped and medics treated his alleged injury, reports the Enquirer, with Law “whining apologies” the entire time. The scene was reshot “hours later,” after Downey’s supposed swelling subsided.

Of course, if the Enquirer did some actual detective work, the tabloid wouldn’t need to invent items like these.

The eye injury never happened.

A rep for Downey tells Gossip Cop the story is “total b.s.”

The biggest “mystery” on the Sherlock set is where the Enquirer manages to get this nonsense.
