Rob Lowe is NOT scared of the fake blood used for his new medical drama “Code Black,” despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”

According to Star, Lowe’s new role on “Code Black” is turning into a “bloody nightmare,” because of his supposed “squeamishness” during filming. A so-called “source” tells the publication “they keep having to call ‘cut’ because Rob looks like he’s about to faint,” even though he is only “working on dummies.” The outlet’s ill-informed insider further alleges Lowe “gets sweaty and goes pale. He cannot take the sight of blood.”

For the time being, claims the tabloid, Lowe’s crew and co-stars are giving his “queasy stomach a little leeway.” “Everyone is hoping he’ll get used to [the fake blood] as filming goes on,” says the magazine’s questionable source, adding, “No one needs a real-life emergency if he passes out.”

The only rescuing needed here is for the tabloid. Lowe’s rep tells Gossip Cop the actor “loves this role.” We’re further assured that talk of him being afraid of the fake blood is simply “not true.”

We’re not exactly surprised by the falsity of Star’s story. We recently called out the misinformed magazine for wrongly reporting Lowe and Lea Michele were getting cozy after her breakup with Robert Buckley. That absurd story was bloody wrong, and so is the current claim that he’s scared on the set of “Code Black.”
