Rob Lowe to Star in Casey Anthony Movie

Rob Lowe is king of the tabloid movie.

The actor, who just did a highly successful turn as real-life alleged wife murderer Drew Peterson, is now set to star in a Lifetime movie about acquitted child killer Casey Anthony.

Lowe will portray prosecutor Jeff Ashton in Prosecuting Casey Anthony, which is based on the controversial 2011 trial of the Florida mom accused of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee.

The TV project is based on Ashton’s book and “will examine what the prosecution got right, what they got wrong and why Ashton remains convinced of Casey Anthony’s guilt.”

    This is in such bad taste. Can’t they just let little Caylee rest in peace. Casey Anthony does not need her head inflated more then it already is. She is a murder, no one should be glamorizing this women. No one should be making money of the murder of a 3 year old. I don’t care who the money is going to, I don’t feel that actors should be payed money to portray anything about this case. No child should have their murder glamorized. It’s sick, and I hope someone puts a stop to this movie before it happens.

    Jeff Ashton will be the one making money of it. It is his story. Not that it makes this movie in any better taste. No one should be allowed to profit of this child death. I find it disturbing that a man that supposedly believes this baby was murdered, would feel it is ethical to make any money of it.
