Rihanna Evacuated From Hotel After Fire

Rihanna was forced to evacuate her London hotel after a fire broke out in the building early Wednesday.

The singer tweeted the photo at right, along with the message, “Roamin da streets since 6am! Fyah in da telly #evacuationlife.”

Later she posted a picture of the fire truck in front of the Corinthia Hotel (below).

Fortunately, the evacuation was only precautionary.

A spokesperson for the hotel released a statement explaining that a service elevator motor had burned out, leading to smoke and the activation of alarms.

After the fire department conducted a safety check, guests were allowed back into the building.

It’s already been an eventful trip to London for Rihanna, whose bodyguard punched out an intrusive photographer over the weekend.
