LISTEN: Rihanna Song “FourFiveSeconds” with Kanye West and Paul McCartney
Rihanna has released a new song with Kanye West and Paul McCartney. “FourFiveSeconds” had been teased by West earlier in the week, and Rihanna debuted it on her website late on Saturday. Listen to the track below!
“FIRST GLIMPSE AT MY NEW MUSIC!!!” tweeted the singer, directing fans to her site. Rihanna has not put out a full album since 2012’s Unapologetic. “FourFiveSeconds” is expected to be included on her upcoming album, to be out later this year. It definitely sounds like a fresh sound for the superstar singer.
As the track opens, we hear Rihanna singing, “I think I’ve had enough/ Might get a little drunk/ I say what’s on my mind/ I might do a little time / Because all of my kindness / Is taken for weakness.” She’s backed by a guitar. Later, West chimes in with his own verse, and he and Rihanna ultimately sing together on the chorus.
Rihanna and West are old collaborators, of course. The rapper and McCartney recently released their own song, “Only One,” in which West sang tenderly about his late mother and young daughter.
