Rihanna is set to star in her first movie, according to a report.

Battleship will also star TV hunks Taylor Kitsch (“Friday Night Lights”) and Alexander Skarsgard (“True Blood”), claims Variety.com, and “takes place across the seas, the skies and over land in a battle for planet survival against a superior force.”

The director is Peter Berg, with a tentative launch on May 25, 2012.
