Rihanna Did NOT Have Concertgoer Removed From Coachella, Despite Report
Rihanna did not have a concertgoer removed from a Coachella show following an altercation, despite a seemingly made-up webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively clear up the situation.
“Hissy Fits & Bossy Demands! Why Rihanna Is Coachella’s No. 1 Diva,” blares a new RadarOnline headline. The accompanying article goes on to purport that the singer caused a scene following Lorde’s set on Sunday night. An alleged source tells the site that attendees in the VIP section sat down after Lorde’s performance to wait for Kendrick Lamar, who was scheduled to come on an hour later, but Rihanna began yelling at the crowd for resting.
The site’s questionable insider says the R&B artist screamed, “Get up off the ground! This is a hip hop show. If you can’t hang, the exit is to your left.” The “source” further claims that one girl in the crowd “started yelling back at her that she was being a bully,” so Rihanna told a security guard “the girl was harassing her and asked for her to be removed.”
Despite how unlikely this story seems, Gossip Cop still checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us no such incident occurred. We’re told Rihanna never yelled at concertgoers, nor did she have a girl kicked out of an event, and the claim otherwise is simply fabricated.
Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time RadarOnline has published a bogus story surrounding the singer’s attendance at the annual music festival. Last year, Gossip Cop called out the webloid for wrongly reporting that Rihanna was “getting cozy” with Leonardo DiCaprio at Coachella. This latest claim is equally false.
