CLAIM: Rihanna and Chris Brown in Contact Again

According to Heat magazine, Rihanna and Chris Brown are in contact with each other.
Brown assaulted his ex-girlfriend in 2009, leading to 180 days of community labor and five years of probation. Under the terms of probation, he must stay at least 100 yards from her.
Now a so-called “source” tells Heat, in a story circulated by outlets such as Digital Spy, that Rihanna reached out to her abusive ex after seeing his emotional performance at the BET Awards.
“Rihanna felt like she could try to be friends with Chris again,” the tab claims. “Chris told her that he felt like he’s grown up in the past year. He’s said he’s so happy to be back in touch with her.”
The former couple “have reportedly text messaged one another since their telephone conversation, with a friend of Rihanna’s suggesting that she is keen for a face-to-face meeting,” the “source” adds.
Could Rihanna really be communicating with Brown so soon after her ordeal?
No. It’s just nonsense from Heat.
When asked about the rumor’s validity, a rep for Rihanna told Gossip Cop, it’s absolutely “not true.”
