“After months of back and forth between the controversial couple, Rihanna and Chris Brown are officially engaged!” declares Star.

Really?

What does Star know that the rest of the world doesn’t?

Nothing, it turns out.

The magazine is using a picture Rihanna posted to Instagram on February 21 — showing her with Brown and captioned “Like #diamonds in the sky” — as evidence that the diamond band she’s been sporting must be an engagement ring.

But the couple was simply celebrating her 25th birthday, as Gossip Cop reported.

There’s no engagement.

A source close to the couple tells Gossip Cop there’s been no change in their status.
