Footage has emerged from Saturday night’s brawl between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy at the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the two stars got into an altercation backstage during the Atlanta event.

In the video below, security guards immediately try to separate the entertainers, as others shout and spew profanities.

Things momentarily seem under control, until the chaos — briefly — begins again.

No arrests were made at the scene, although one minor on the scene was reportedly hurt.

The BET Hip-Hop Awards will air on October 9.

    I can see what is going to come of this: Fans on the web are going to start becoming “Team Ross” and “Team Jeezy”. But what should really happen is: We should stop promoting this lifestyle as if it’s perfectly acceptable to start rumbles and fire shots.

    I would rather see the music industry overcome with crappy bubblegum pop than this fake thuggery.

    How sad. And no one’s talking down on Blacks either (I’m a colored chick myself), so gimme a damn break. The fact is that there is really no way to excuse, justify, or rationalize that kinda crap, and the sheer barbaricness of it seems to be relegated to us black folks exclusively — well, most of us anyway. In most other areas of the world, people of color (and everyone else) can gather for various celebrations WITHOUT turning into shit-starters, but there seems to be a disconnect with us here in America, and that’s unfortunate because it’s seriously holding us back. I completely understand why Bill Cosby is so disappointed in us as a people. I am too. We must ALL do better though, not just as a Black race, but as a human race. And lastly, events such as the Hip-Hop Awards should be completely and totally eradicated if the attendees continue to act like freaking jackholes. The genre itself is no longer what it used to be anyway. Doubly sad.
