While shooting a scene at 7:54 a.m. on Tuesday at Cinespace Film Studios in Toronto, 16 actors and crew members were injured on the set of Paul W. S. Anderson’s Resident Evil: Retribution 3D, the fifth installment of the franchise that stars Milla Jovovich.
Toronto Police spokeswoman Wendy Drummond explained to Gossip Cop that as a number of actors, whose names have yet to be released, were moving one platform to another, the first stage — which was on wheels — “pushed back,” causing some of the actors to fall down in between the two platforms (not pictured here).
Drummond confirmed that 16 people, including crew members, were injured and 10 were taken to a local hospital with leg, arm and back injuries.
None of the injuries are life-threatening.
