Report of Kanye Pondering Suicide Sounds Off Base

There’s no doubt Kanye West doesn’t make good decisions (SEE Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech AND “A Concert for Hurricane Relief”), but contemplating suicide is not among them.

Still, the site Media Take Out claims, “SUICIDE WATCH!!! PERSON CLOSE TO KANYE WEST FEARS THAT HE MAY HURT HIMSELF!!!” The blog goes on to report “that Kanye West may do something rash.” Rasher than interrupting a young woman’s acceptance speech after winning her first trophy at the MTV Video Music Awards?

Media Take Out further notes, “According to the individual, who is a fairly close acquaintance of Kanye, since the incident, Ye’s fallen into a deep depression and people close to him are worrying about it.” Don’t want to be nitpicky about something so serious, but the worrying should have begun with his obnoxious outburst, not with his reaction to the negative press.

A source at his label says they hadn’t heard this at all and strongly doubted the report’s accuracy. A rep for Kanye did not get back to Gossip Cop.

    I’m sure Kanye is feeling depressed since even the President thinks he’s a jackass. I doubt though Kanye would be considering suicide. I really love what Justin Timberlake just told a radio station that he was doing an interview for his Shriners golf tournament. They asked what he thought about the whole thing and he said his granddaddy taught him that it’s always better to let people think your stupid then to open up your mouth and let them know you are. Kanye could learn from that.

    Have no idea whether or not Kanye is considering suicide, although with a man with such a huge ego, it seems unlikely to me. However, I definitely do think he could use some help. He’s obviously abusing alcohol and seemed extremely depressed on Leno’s show. Perhaps he was right when he said he could use some time off to regroup and get himself back together.

    Kanye is always going to be a jerk…..that’s the kind of guy he is. But, I hope he gets some help and works on his depression and impulse control!
