In a story titled “‘Braveheart’ & Cold Feet,” the National Enquirer reports that Mel Gibson is having second thoughts about marrying pregnant girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva and misses his old life with wife Robyn.

A ‘longtime friend’ told the Enquirer that “Mel is beginning to show signs of full-fledged panic.” According to the source, “Mel has become a runaway train – the wedding, the baby, the much younger bride” all making him terrified.

The 53-year-old father of seven is “henpecked” by Grigorieva, who the tabloid’s source says is “very demanding.”

Gossip Cop thought the whole discussion of “cold feet” was odd, since – as best we can tell – the two have never said a word about getting married in the first place.

Gibson’s representative said he had “never even heard of impending nuptials,” let alone his supposed second thoughts.

Gossip Cop has to admire the genius behind the Enquirer’s strategy. It’s a nice out – now if Gibson and Grigorieva never get married, the tab can claim it was because of these mysterious “cold feet.”
