Renee Zellweger NOT Quitting Movies, Despite Report
Renee Zellweger is NOT quitting movies, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
According to National Enquirer, Zellweger “returned to Hollywood to deliver Bridget Jones’s Baby, but is already raring to leave.” A so-called “source” for the publication alleges, “Renee assumed it would be a monster hit in the USA,” following the success of the first two movies, but she’s reportedly “very disappointed by the response” to the highly anticipated third film. The publication’s supposed insider further claims Zellweger is so “hurt,” she feels “if the American audience doesn’t want to watch her movies anymore, she will stop making them.”
But Zellweger is not quitting acting anytime soon. A mutual friend of Gossip Cop and the actress assures us the tabloid’s report is “complete nonsense.” Additionally, an entertainment industry insider notes the third installment in the Bridget Jones franchise actually had “impressive box office numbers… breaking records around the world.”
Sadly, Gossip Cop is not entirely surprised by the magazine’s inaccurate article. There have been a slew of untrue stories about Zellweger and Bridget Jones’s Baby. Last year, Gossip Cop corrected the Enquirer’s sister publication, Star, when it wrongly alleged Zellweger and Patrick Dempsey were hooking up on the film’s set. Much like that false report, the latest about the actress quitting movies is also inaccurate.
