Reese Witherspoon Asking New Husband to Get Ryan Phillippe Work?

“Reese Witherspoon wants her new husband, Jim Toth, to work with her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe,” says In Touch.

According to the tabloid, Witherspoon is “urging” her powerful agent husband to take Phillippe on as “a client and rejuvenate his career.”

A so-called “friend” tells the mag, “Reese thinks Jim can help make Ryan an A-list star again.”

In Touch adds that Witherspoon, who’s on good terms with her ex, “wants to do anything she can to help Ryan with his career.”

And while it’s true that Phillippe and Witherspoon are friendly — and she wishes nothing but the best for him — Gossip Cop is told she’s not “urging” Toth to work with her ex-husband.

A source close to the Oscar-winner says the In Touch tale is “not true.”

We’re not surprised the mag is wrong. Remember, this is the same publication that said seven months ago Witherspoon was buying maternity clothes.

    Geesh talk about like totally different opinions. I just know she won the Oscar for best actress in “Walk the Line” Speaking of WTL in one of his acceptance speeches for the Golden Globe for best actor in a comedy or musical for “Walk the Line” Joaquin Phoenix said he bet Ryan 200 dollars that he, Phoenix would lose. He was referring to Witherspoon’s then husband “Ryan Phillipe. Well he lost the bet but won the prize.

    This story is hogwash. Ryan Phillipe was NEVER A-list!!

    Seriously though, Phillipe ruined his own career because he has always been “difficult” to work with and producers got tired of him. Then he had the nerve to cheat on “American’s Cutie” and nobody would touch him. Not only did he ruin his career but the budding career of Abbe Cornish. It would take way more than Jim Toth to get his career back on track. Last I heard, Phillipe is going to do television!! Now that’s some come down!!!

    Why not?? He is the Father of her children. Why should’nt she want the best for him? Perhaps, she prefers to leave the past where it belongs and just wants the best life for her children. Why can’t we all just get along?
