Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Swift Trash Jake Gyllenhaal?

Us Weekly claims that during Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Swift‘s lunch together in L.A. on August 26, about which Gossip Cop previously reported, the two women gossiped about their mutual ex-boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal.

[PAUSE]

Wait, Witherspoon and Swift had lunch nearly a week ago, and suddenly — like a repressed memory — a so-called “source” just remembered the two women spent their meal trashing Gyllenhaal?

[RESUME]

Anyway, according to Us Weekly‘s source, Witherspoon and Swift “talked about how vain and self-absorbed Jake can be… They laughed about it.”

And while the two women, who hail from Tennessee, had lunch together, dishing about Gyllenhaal was not on the main menu.

We’re told Gyllenhaal was brought up, but the Southern belles, who became friendly in April at the Academy of Country Music Awards, did not spend time insulting him.

    Unless anyone else was them two, can we actually know what they talked about?
    I wouldn’t be surprised if Jake was mentioned but probably not the main conversation topic – maybe Reese just wanted to check that Taylor was OK after the break-up or something like that… anyway, poor Jake and all this publicity about a simple lunch date!
