Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman Interview Each Other On “GMA” (VIDEO)
The actresses co-star in the upcoming HBO miniseries, “Big Little Lies.” They shared giggles as they pretended to be reporters, pulling out some lesser-known nuggets about each other. Kidman, for instance, revealed she was actually born in Hawaii and has a Hawaiian name.
It was Witherspoon who could detail the first time they met, saying, “I met you after the Oscars and you were nominated for Moulin Rouge, and I remember going up to you. You were wearing some gorgeous gown, and I was like, ‘I’m just such a huge fan!'” Kidman, not remembering this, actually exclaimed, “Get out!”
Now they’ve bonded over the novel version of “Big Little Lies” and their TV adaptation. Kidman shared, “I read that book in, I think it was, 48 hours. And then I remember talking to you on the phone, going, ‘Oh my gosh. We could actually get this made, and get it made for us.”
Witherspoon confessed to “looking up” to Kidman, and Kidman admitted to calling herself a “big sister” now. That makes it especially fitting that their joint project, in many ways, is about female friendship. Check out the interview below.
