Reese Witherspoon date with agent more than 10 percent true

UPDATE: Whoa! A pal of Gossip Cop saw the two the other night, and despite industry types spinning that it’s just business, we’re now told it’s actually more than pleasure – it’s on!

In a piece titled, “Is Reese Witherspoon Dating Again?” the usually spot-on People magazine reports that Reese Witherspoon ”shared dinner for two at Santa Monica’s cozy Italian eatery Locanda Portofino last Thursday with Jim Toth, an agent at Hollywood’s powerful Creative Artists Agency [CAA].”
The magazine even had a source who thought they “were very flirtatious throughout dinner… [They were] laughing and talking the whole dinner. Reese seemed very happy. She was smiling all dinner. The mood was upbeat and really good.”
After Toth picked up the tab and they were outside the restaurant, the source says, “Reese reached around his neck and pulled him close for a hug… They kissed bye on the cheek – but it was a very friendly goodbye.”
Maybe the emphasis should have been on the word, “friendly.”
While a Toth pal claims to People it was “a date,” Gossip Cop hears the likelihood of this being anything romantic is about an agent’s fee — 10 percent.
Witherspoon is actually a client of the super agency, CAA, and Gossip Cop is told the dinner was “just business.”
How can it be anything but business when she’s so busy having “secret hookups” with Gerard Butler? Just kidding.
