A previously unknown teenage singer named Rebecca Black has taken the Internet by storm this weekend, thanks to a video for her song “Friday” that is… um… interesting.

Black seems to be an enthusiastic young performer. We’ll say that.

But is she the next YouTube sensation-turned-superstar like Justin Bieber (or even the next Maria Aragon)?

    idk maybe the song was inteded for children? there is a genre of music for babies and small kids not everything is for teens and adults

    OMG… This is awful… terrible lyrics and she has just sung it to Justin Bieber’s “baby” sped up. Terrible… Her voice wasn’t fab either. Sorry :(

    At least she’s prettier than Bieber… (not that it takes much) – and she’s both cute and teen-stylish in this video. The song isn’t worse than most chart-mainsteam ‘music’ these days, and she can use autotune as well as all the others. Not bad for a beginner.

    Ummm… I’m speechless… that is the worst song ever! Her voice sounds like she has a stuffy nose and is just bad. The ltrucs are aweful… I think we all know the days of the week! Did’t like it at all!

    Guys don’t need to get nasty, she’s 13 years old do you want her to talk about love? At least she’s not like justin bieber whos like 5 and already makes song about love but the guy has probably never even had a girlfriend before, I saw a video with rebecca where she sings and it’s AMAZING! I wasm’t a big fan of your song and I did make fun of it but I realized I was stupid and that you actually have talent :) you may not hae started on the right foot but i’m sure you can get better :) I support you but next time show the world the voice I heard on a video and hell youre going to get a lot of hits :)))

    one more thing next time, you should write a song from your heart, but not about stuff you avent experienced, maybe like if youre parents been through a divorce or you lost a close member anything, and look hannah montanas first song was not good either “you get the best of both world” and it was written by her dad but now shes famous and she evoluted and made really really pretty song, and I really like your honesty when you said you did cry after seeing the comments most singers would have been like I dont care and stuff but we all know theyre torned up inside :( sorry for the long speech ;) good luck :) btw I’m a sixteen years old girl so for all the people who thinks only 5 years old would like that song youre wrong!
