Real Housewives of NY Reunion: Lots of “Delusional” & “Shut The F*ck Up” Talk
“The Real Housewives of New York City” cast continued to bring the drama on Tuesday’s reunion special that aired one week after Aviva Drescher was seen throwing her prosthetic leg on the show’s shocking season finale.
Andy Cohen hosted the first part of the three-episode special, which brought the women together to rehash many of the jaw-dropping moments from the show’s sixth season.
Drescher, Ramona Singer, and Sonja Morgan were pitted against Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, LuAnn de Lesseps, and newcomer Kristen Taekman, who took took turns confronting the three blondes for their previous actions.
But there wasn’t an apology in sight.
Taekman was clearly still peeved that Drescher had told her to “shut the “f*ck up” in front of their children, but Drescher refused to admit that she was wrong.
“Well, I wanted her to shut the f*ck up,” she explained without remorse.
The new girl also had a beef with Singer, who famously tossed a wineglass at her face while vacationing in the Berkshires.
De Lesseps, a former nurse, confirmed that Taekman had a “good gash in her lip,” but did not need stitches.
Singer did her best to minimize the situation, noting the glass was actually “plastic.”
“My intention was not to hit your face,” Singer told Taekman, admitting “it was unlady-like,” and one shouldn’t even “throw a sponge.”
Drescher was soon in the hot seat again after cast members questioned why she never stops her father George from being inappropriate with her friends.
The controversial 76-year-old had gotten engaged to a 25-year-old, made numerous sexual innuendos to the show’s stars, and touched one of Taekman’s breasts during the season.
“I can never be in his presence again,” Singer said of Drescher’s father, who made outlandish remarks about necrophilia in front of her.
“What he said was beyond b-a-d… I know I can be unedited… but what he did shocked me,” she recalled.
“He’s vulgar,” acknowledged Drescher, adding, “Unfortunately, you don’t pick your parents.”
Drescher also had to address her asthma diagnosis, which many cast members believed she used as an excuse to skip their trip to Montana.
Drescher maintained that she was sick, explaining that you can’t use an inhaler if there is nothing wrong with you, while her nemesis Radziwill rolled her eyes.
“Through all of your skepticism, I have this wonderful internist… the internist to the Hollywood stars,” she said. “He is the greatest doctor, and one of his most prominent patients is Andy Cohen.”
Cohen hilariously whipped out an inhaler, which inspired Singer to take a puff, proving Drescher wrong.
The evening ended with the gang accusing Morgan of being delusional about her finances and career opportunities.
“Why don’t we ever see your businesses on-camera?” asked Radziwill, who already questioned Morgan for fueling rumors that she had a tryst with the writer’s ex-boyfriend Russ Irwin.
“I have to stay very focused on the 45 people I’m paying,” Morgan explained. “People pay me for branding advice.”
De Lesseps said Morgan “didn’t live in reality,” while Taekman literally sang, “You’re delusional!” to the alleged entrepreneur.
Part 2 of the reunion will air on August 5, followed by a part 3 on August 12.
