Ray J: Naomi Judd Racist Remarks “Ain’t Cool” (VIDEO)
Ray J accused Naomi Judd of making racist remarks while filming their FOX cooking series “My Kitchen Rules.” The singer claimed she called grits “slave food,” adding racism like that “ain’t cool.” Watch the video below.
On Wednesday, Ray J posted a video on Instagram on Wednesday, in which he alleged Judd referred to grits as “slave food” while filming the competition show which also stars Andrew Dice Clay, Brandi Glanville, Dean Sheremet and Lance Bass. “Just heard some disturbing news. I’m driving over there to do the cooking show for Fox. Miss Judd got some disturbing things to say about me, about Brandi, about people on set,” Ray J can be seen saying in a car.
The singer explained, “We got on set and I dunno, maybe I was tripping when she said she didn’t like grits because it was, I don’t know, ‘slave food.’ That she would rather starve than eat grits.” Ray J continued, “I don’t know what was going on, but I felt uncomfortable… I thought we was just trying to be better people in America and kind of look past color and look past racism, but this smells like some racism. I don’t like it. God bless her, but it ain’t cool,” he added.
In the caption accompanying the video on Instagram, Ray J further wrote, “I have nothing but love for everybody – any ‘type’ of people! Any color!! we suppose to be better than this Mrs Judd! I hope you can look past how u feel about a ‘type’ of person and understand who they are first!” Ray J’s video came after Judd reportedly trashed her fellow “My Kitchen Rules” co-stars in a Facebook post. Judd was allegedly misled about who she would be starring with and reportedly does not care to be associated with any of them. Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for Judd, but has yet to hear back.
