Raven-Symone Defends Ariana Grande’s “I Hate America” Comment (VIDEO)
Raven-Symone defended Ariana Grande’s “I hate America” comment on Thursday’s “The View,” saying, “It’s all come out of our mouths once or twice when you’re at a fast-food restaurant or something… and you’re like ‘Ugh, America why do you do this to me?'” Her co-hosts, however, did not agree at all. Whoopi Goldberg was quick to say, “I never think that.” Of the temptation to eat donuts, she noted, “America’s not doing this to me. I’m doing this to me.” Nicolle Wallace added, “Have you been to Paris?,” referring to the city’s love of pastries. She continued, “But can I just say licking a tray of donuts… I have PMS and licking a tray of donuts is a dream of mine.” When Goldberg asked Wallace if she would at least pay for the donuts after licking them, she responded that she’s sure Grande’s people “threw money across the counter” because she’s a celebrity.
Guest co-host Candace Cameron-Bure also chimed in, but blamed the donut shop for leaving the treats unattended out in the open. “They left those donuts out there, and they did re-sell them. But just leaving unattended food out there, that was a health risk and so disgusting.”
