Rami Malek NOT Turning Into ‘Mr. Robot’ Character, Despite Report
Rami Malek is NOT turning into his reclusive character on “Mr. Robot” because he can’t handle the pressure of fame, despite a bogus webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
According to RadarOnline, the actor has been displaying real-life characteristics of his role on the series as an antisocial computer hacker suffering from mental health issues. A so-called “source” tells the site that since the success of the show, he’s become “a virtual chain-smoking recluse who is too afraid of his fans to date or socialize.” The outlet’s dubious insider adds, “Rami really is turning into his odd-ball character on ‘Mr. Robot.'”
The website’s questionable source goes on to purport that when Malek isn’t filming the series, “He’s at home smoking cigarettes, memorizing scripts and monitoring the show’s popularity on social media, which only scares him even more.” The “insider” also claims the actor is “not coping at all” with being recognized in pubic, adding, “He’s become a total hermit and acting very strangely. He’s not dating or hanging out with anybody, nor does he allow anyone new into his inner circle.”
But Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable source close to Malek, who exclusively assures us the webloid’s story is simply “not true.” We’re further told that the timing of this tall tale is “quite bizarre” because the actor was away shooting a movie in Serbia up until last week. Despite RadarOnline’s seeming inability to distinguish fantasy from reality, the actor and his character are two different people.
