Radiohead Stage Collapses Before Show; One Person Dead

Radiohead’s stage at Downsview Park in Toronto collapsed before the band was set to perform on Saturday night, killing one person and injuring at least three.

Toronto fire department officials say one of the injured suffered a head wound.

The concert has since been canceled.

Radiohead tweeted, “Due to unforeseen circumstances tonight’s [concert] at downsview park has been cancelled. Fans are advised not to make their way to the venue.”

It’s not yet known what triggered the collapse.

    This is terrible, buy tickets to a concert and you end up dead. It’s really not good enough. Would think the band could have acknowledged what really happened, instead of just saying “Due to unforeseen circumstances”. This has happened enough times that clearly there is something very wrong with the safety precautions made for this type of concert.
