I agree with Vansk1…. this is INSANE!! Nicole should be hung for putting it into deadlock! Rachel is far better than any of the others left… by FAR!! She is an EXCELLENT role model for kids and everyone, besides being a phenomenal talent.
This show is for drama, not honesty. I, too, will NOT watch another season of XFactor… take it back to the UK and leave it there!!!

Rachel gave such a great performance even while fighting off tears! Never missed a beat! Nicole is the worst judge ever! I’m glad she got booed when they asked her to speak after the elimination. The whole point of the “save song” is to save the person who sang the best that night. Obviously if Marcus has been in the bottom three times he deserves to go home!!

You guys keep forgetting that it is only a ‘Game Show’. Of course people are going to get attached to the singers but everyone has to leave eventually. All of those top 5 singers will have recording contracts anyways so it doesn’t matter who actually wins.

Watching this I think Nicole did not want to make the call. Seeing her reaction when Rachael got voted off I think she figured it would be Marcus sent home. She looked genuinely shocked when it was Rachael.

Time and time again you have these people who think with their help the singer can blossom. Problem with that is singers like Rachel and Josh do not need help. They were both stiff as boards in a few of their performances when they should have been given the freedom to do what got them on the show in the first place. And for that I blame the mentor. First, I am among the array of people who think Rachel out sang Marcus tonight. I am not, however, on accordance with the people who are complimenting Rachel by cutting down Marcus. The kid can sing and is. Eh charismatic. I also doubt that Rachel would appreciate hearing bad things about him.
Secondly, I think Nicole voted as she saw fit. I think it’s funny that people think she was spineless to go to a deadlock seeing as how the crowd behind her was chanting “Rachel” and she still stuck to HER guns and said that Marcus and Rachel were equals in her eyes. The judges exist so that each one can cast his or her vote as he or she see fit. Clearly, Nicole thought that America should get the final say since she was neutral. That’s not spineless to me.
*As for her reaction to Rachel leaving tonight, I think she was saddened when she saw Rachel collapse and sob. I am almost certain she assumed Rachel had more of America’s votes and was a little shocked, but I also think that Nicole didn’t want to be the reason either contestant went home.
Thirdly, Marcus has been in the bottom three times, but we know that the first time he was saved by America’s votes (against Leroy). We don’t know if Drew got the lowest number of votes or not since Paula sent Drew home. Considering we now know Marcus was merely the second least voted for contestant twice, against initial favourites might I add, who’s to say that Marcus wouldn’t have gotten America’s vote last week too? Tonight he beat out Rachel and nobody expected that.
Lastly, I doubt he’ll win – based on voting and personal opinion, but people need to lay off of Nicole, stop making fun of him, and vote for the people who in their minds should go through.

I remember last week when Drew was eliminated people on this board was angry and said that Paula/Nicole should make it a deadlock instead of out right voting against Drew. She went with deadlock this week and she’s getting beaten up for it. You could see it was very difficult for her to chose so she went into deadlock. She thought, like I did, and probably like many others that Marcus would have the lowest vote and would be voted off. It didn’t work that way. Both Marcus and Rachel are good singers. Sure Rachel got the least amount of votes, NOBODY IS DENYING THAT. People are upset because this they have “a singing for survival” for the bottom 2 so the judges make the ultimate decision. So it’s based on the performance during that sing-off that the judges make a decision on who goes home. It is OBVIOUS that the final sing-off didn’t mean anything for Nicole cause she didn’t use to judge the contestants. If the performance during the survival section didn’t matter to Nicole then Rachel shouldn’t have sung at all to begin with. I hope she can sleep tonight.

The whole point of the save me song is for the judges to vote on the strongest talent.That was an obvious choice.Peoples votes are only a part of it.The judges have a job to do.If the peoples votes were the only ones to count then the judges would be non factors.So for people to say that Nicole is not to blame is a false statement.Her title is judge but she is just a waste of space.People have a right to be upset she is getting paid to do nothing because she sure in hell isn’t judging based on talent.She basing her decisions out of spite and for that she deserves what she is getting.I did my part and I am not getting paid and she is and still can’t do her job.You go to work tommorrow and tell your boss you aren’t going to work but still expect to get paid and let me know how that works out for you!

Rachel – Great “Save me Song” – but she’s also had several not so good performances due to her age. She needed to wait a few years to compete and grow into her talent. Her age and lack of maturity really showed in her elimination reaction. Hey, listen up America – why are you so angry with Nicole — if you would have voted for Rachel, she’d still be in the game !! These celebrities are being paid a great deal of money to judge the performances. If they are unable or unwilling to do their job they should be replaced by someone who will. You are an idiot, you posted the same thing 30 times as if anyone can even understand your broken English and idiotic comments. Everyone knows voting each week is based on how many people felt like voting and not anything else, that is why American idol had problems with voting the wrong people off and it is why X-factor created the save me song. To protect the great singers from being accidentally thrown into the shark tank because their song may not have been as good for one week or they may have simply got less votes than usual.

Rachel Crowe was an underdog that I’ve seen great talent from since day one and has simply been overlooked and given all the wrong songs until recently where she has showcased some real singing talent that we had seen back in the first few weeks but almost forgotten about due to Simon’s bad song choices and stage layouts for her each week.

So yes it was up to Nicole to make the decision, It is what a judge does, DECIDE! If you cannot determine who sang better in the save me song then you should not be a judge plain and simple. She failed to do her job and when she put it to the voters hands she knew the chances were there for Crowe to go home, but she did it anyway, just because she couldn’t admit Rachel did better than Marcus.

America was predictable, and did what they always do, LA protected his own guy when he clearly knew that Rachel did better and Nicole passed the responsibility of being a judge onto the American people instead of doing the honorable thing and correcting L.A. Reids one sided, self serving decision.

Rachel got eliminated because Nicole Scherzinger is useless. She was afraid she would get slammed by fans of either contestant, so she took the coward’s way out and let it go to deadlock. Rachel had the lower vote tally, as it turned out – probably because people thought she was safe, understandably – and Marcus squeeked thru – barely.

I think Scherzinger figured Rachel would go thru anyway because Marcus was in the Bottom Two for the THIRD TIME! The look on her face and all the boo hooing when she realized she’d thrown Rachel under the bus said it all. I used to like her, but I don’t like what I’ve seen of her since she’s been on XF. Waste of space.

Nothing against Marcus, but he can’t sing a note in tune and is not all that talented. He always looks like a scared rabbit who is looking around for the hook to pull him off the stage the whole time he’s up there. He should have gone home well before Drew, Rachel, etc. Another waste of space.

I totally disagree. Marcus is AMAZING! Rachel is very talented too but eveyone feels sorry for her because she is so young. Marcus can sing very well and he is going to be a star. Truth is, both of them deserved to stay. But Marcus IS better.

THE VOTING WAS BASED ON WHAT THEY SANG ON THURSDAY, SO AMERICA SHOULD NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY. IT WAS LEFT UP TO THE JUDES. THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD 5 JUDGES NOT 4 SO THEY WOULD NOT BE A TIE. AND THEY ALSO SHOULD LET THE JUDGES VOTE PRIVATELY SO NO WILL NO WHO VOTED FOR WHOM. IT WAS NICOLE AND LA’S FALT NOT AMERICA. THEY HAD THE FINIALLY VOTE ON WHO WILL STAY AND LEAVE. NIchole it’s called a judges panel if you can’t do the job get out of the gig. You’re pretty much useless . We lost the best future potential in the group because ” I can’t make a decision…Please give me a break ..that choice was hardly a tough decision. The judges panel is set up to prevent the publc from voting just for popularity and not talent. Well she just blew that out of the water. If you guys blaming nicole were watching carefully, it was paula who suggested to her to go into deadlock. she whispers it, and nicole jumps to the decision as to not be the one to determine someone’s fate which is something I honestly wouldn’t want to do either. The amount of hate people can generate for people they dont even know always astounds me.

I was a big fan of Rachel and was upset that she got voted off. There is no doubt in my mind she will go far in life, she is only 13. In my opinion, I think Marcus should have gone home, but it is what it is.

Nicole did not do her job. She is supposed to be a judge. She may have ruined Josh’s changes on the show. LA Reid ALWAYS votes for his own contestants, as does Simon. This gives Paula and Nicole way too much power. Paula does not have a contestant left. The contestants “save me” songs mean nothing because none of the judges really judge each contestant based on the save me song. There is hardly any doubt that Rachel was better than Marcus Thursday night. It is obvious that Nicole decided to go for a deadlock because she (like most of us) thought for sure that Marcus would be the one to go. BUT the voters didn’t vote according to the save me song and Marcus had two good songs and Rachel really only had one. THAT is why he got to stay on the show. Marcus is an ok singer but he is much too much like so many young male singers today. He needs to make himself more special. Rachel, on the other hand, is very original and one can’t help but be amazed at her ability to sing even the most adult songs with emotion and personality. She will be a star very soon.

Is this show really based on talent or on which judge can push his own contestant to the final? I think the judges want to win more than they want the best contestant to win. Simon defintely needs to change the format of this show if he is smart.

He even said that he voted for Marcus because Marcus was in his group..He didn’t say that Marcus was the best singer in the “sing-off…I”m waitng for the REAL talent show, “American Idol”.

Wake up Mosesviii..This program was setup using the judges to make their vote after the sing-off..Othewise they would just go with the votes like “American Idol”.
