“Rachael Ray Show” NOT Getting Canceled, Despite Report (EXCLUSIVE)
The “Rachael Ray Show” is NOT getting canceled, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim, which a rep tells us is “absolutely not true.”
The story can be found in the pages of the National Enquirer, which alleges Ray’s syndicated show is “getting the axe.” A so-called “source” claims to the supermarket tabloid, “Rachael has worked very hard, but there’s no hope for saving her show — it’s toast.” Food puns aside, why is the series supposedly being “dropped”?
In an unnatural-sounding quote, the outlet’s alleged source says, “She’s been secretly told by her bosses at CBS Television that her syndicated cooking and gabfest show will not be renewed because her ratings have fallen drastically over the past two seasons.” The National Enquirer goes on to note that Ray and her husband recently renewed their vows, and mean-spiritedly adds, “But that’s the only renewal Rachael will get this year.”
Gossip Cop would like to use this opportunity to encourage readers not to renew any subscriptions to the National Enquirer, because the tabloid doesn’t know what it’s talking about. Ray remains in-demand, both as a TV personality and as a chef. In fact, a CBS Television Distribution spokesperson exclusively tells Gossip Cop about the cancellation report, “This story is absolutely not true and their sources are inaccurate.” Looks like the tabloid just got burnt.
