WATCH: Quintavious Johnson, 12-Year-Old “Phenom,” Slays Dreamgirls Hit on AGT
Quintavious Johnson may be 12, but after “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday, the singing “phenom” could end up very wealthy in just a few week’s time.
As one of the last 12 acts to perform in the quarterfinals, the tween received a standing ovation for an incredible performance of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls.
“Wow, wow, wow, wow! Amazing, amazing, amazing!” declared Heidi Klum. “Powerful voice. Powerful presence. Powerful song… Perfect!” Mel B exclaimed, “What just happened?”
“I’ll tell you what just happened: You just showed us your gift, and what an incredible gift you have,” she said, noting, “That was the loudest cheering of the night, and it was all for you.” Howie Mandel, predicting the child star could win the show, told Johnson he should now be thinking, “What am I going to do with a million dollars?”
And Howard Stern joked that puberty may be an issue, saying, “You gotta keep that voice,” but went on to voice his enthusiastic approval. “What we just witnessed is something very freaky, and freaky good. This is a phenom,” said the shock jock.
