Body Found At Queen Elizabeth’s Estate

Police have launched a murder investigation after a woman’s body was discovered at the Sandringham country estate of Queen Elizabeth over New Year’s weekend.

A civilian spotted the remains in a wooded area on Sunday, after the Queen and Prince Philip attended a nearby church service, his first public appearance since a Christmas health scare.

The royals spend the holidays at Sandringham every year.

“We are at the very early stages of the investigation, and it could be a complex inquiry,” said Detective Chief Inspector Jes Fry, adding, “The body had been there for some time.”

Fry continued, “The circumstances suggest this is a murder case, and we are looking at missing persons reports and cold cases, both locally and nationwide.”

Authorities informed the royal family of the discovery on Monday.

They have yet to comment publicly.
