CONFIRMED: Prince William and Kate Middleton to Wed April 29

The royal family has just confirmed that Prince William and Kate Middleton will wed on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey.

The historic Westminister is where the funeral for Princess Diana was held and where Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip wed.

The London church is also where British kings and queens are crowned.

Middleton and Prince William chose April 29th because it’s the feast day of St. Catherine of Siena, whose name Middleton shares.

Prince William and Middleton announced their engagement last week.
